My roommate just filed for this & was notified right afterwards that it will be an ACE exam.

Yeah, acceptable clinical evidence (ACE) exams can be done for conditions that tend to be entirely subjective where physical examination won’t assist in the evaluation. It’s commonly done with GERD and migraines. Often the VA is merely asking whether there’s a diagnosis and if that diagnosis began on active duty or is secondary to an already service connected condition.
      All the best!

    Great video sir!!
I am at 92 % and shooting for 100% with 2 claims (1 service connected and 1 secondary). I have just submitted a Fully developed claim; used all your advice!!
Just wondering if one submits a solid FDC with a diagnosis, all medical evidence, solid nexus letters with "more likely than not, in fact highly likely" written by my Doctor, coupled with a solid personal statement (in a short concise manner conveying the landscape); all the things you address in your videos.
    Question:
if I submitted a Fully developed claim recently with all medical evidence, nexus letters, full diagnosis and full documentation, does this help me to NOT have the VA call me for a C&P exam?
    Thank you sir.

This is a great question. Sadly, the answer is "it depends." Generally, the VA employee scheduling the exams has discretion to accept the evidence or schedule examinations. It can be 50/50 whether they schedule the exams. However, having the favorable evidence in the file can be helpful on multiple fronts. The examiner should see the favorable reports and evidence when they review the file (assuming they do their job properly). This obviously can't hurt your case, so even if the VA brings you in for an examination, you will definitely want that favorable evidence in the file. Undoubtedly, cases have a much higher rate of success where individuals take proactive measures in advance as you have done. It's not a guarantee of success, but it dramatically increases your likelihood of success. Hope that helps. Good luck!
