Be nice if they shared a bit of food with him. It just might be his lucky day today and get some leftover crumbs.
He is overbearing and literally sexually harasses all of the young monkeys, especially the females. A certain amount of “scenting”and “mounting”is common, but he harasses and humps every monkey that is unfortunate enough to be in his line of sight. I know the females are fed up with it. I think that’s why he’s been attacked by 2 females already. The troop won’t tolerate that for long.
He is nice and sweet to the humans, but it’s understandable why the other monkeys aren’t taking to him. Nobody wants to deal with constant harassment.
Rolex is so gentle with Sovana. He softly patted her back sweetly..What a lovely boy. But I can't help but sense that he feels lonely and sad and is like almost saying " But you love Sovana, I hope you can love me also, maybe if I'm kind and super sweet to the little girl you love 💘 so well, maybe you guys will also open your heart ❤ to me. I'd like to have someone care and love 💘 me too.😥🐒

Sovana is becoming a lost cause and will never be integrated at this rate. Rolex is cool. However, he was doing reasonably well integrating and now he’s gotten dragged into Sovana’s bullish!t. Uncool.
A perfect solution is soft release like you're doing where little Sovava can come and go as she pleases. Please do not try to keep her or Rolex as household pets.
Keep the gentle interactions with Rolex, slowly she'll become used to him. They both need to become monkeys. The soft release is the best of both worlds so both can go back to living wild.
This is the problem. These humans want her to go back to the wild yet look how they’re treating a wild animal.
He is gonna make Savanna like him .... he isn’t trying to hurt her ..... she is just afraid of monkeys in general..... they could become great friends if she would let it .... I think .....

Rolex would love to have a human take care of him again he seems to be very patient and caring when he's around humans. I don't think Savanna realizes that they're trying to get her to go back with the monkeys she wants to stay with the humans. I hate to say this but WLA would be the best choice for her they can train her to be a wild monkey and she would have protection in the wild there

I like that Rolex isn’t chased off, but allowed to continue to befriend Sovana. She is just being a spoiled child. She doesn’t know it, but she needs his friendship. He will protect her from the troop if need be.

I think that’s a good idea. He’s gentle with her and if there’s no human to cuddle with she’ll snuggle with him. That’s what needs to be done. It’s the only way.

I think Rolex was abandoned as a juvenile so he is comfortable with humans. Troop has never accepted him. I am sure he gets lonely.
