Moving a HUGE fish tank! My New Waterbox Aquarium Setup (Part 1)

- In this video I show the process of moving my new Waterbox Peninsula 7225 aquarium. Incredibly Cam and Ryan from Gallery Aquatica managed to move it with just the two of them! It was not an easy feat considering the tank on its own weighs 205kgs due to being 19mm thick glass.
I've always wanted a peninsula setup, and I was lucky enough to find this one on Gumtree locally to me. I originally tried to move the tank a couple of weeks ago with a normal moving company, but the process went terribly. You can watch the video about it here:

I reached out to Gallery Aquatica who were luckily able to move it for me. Gallery Aquatica are a local company based here in Brisbane and have two stores, one at Salisbury (freshwater and saltwater) and one at Wynnum (saltwater only). If you need to move an expensive tank like this, I highly recommend hiring an aquarium company to do it.
They also have a CZcams channel called Gallery Aquatica TV here:

Love cam he knows his stuff and Quality work. Class act! You’re in outstanding hands!
He is great!! He did a great job helping me set up the sump today too, he really knows his stuff. That'll be my next video 😊
Hi, I am so happy and glad that you got the right people to do the right job. The tank and the stand looks magnificent. Can’t wait to see it all finished. The best of luck Mike
Thank you so much Mike 😊 Yes I'm very fortunate for how it all worked out in the end
Your little notation captions about being a helper had me rolling. 😂 They did a great job! Super excited to see how your new set up turns out. 👍👏
And I kept wondering what that was in your hair! 😆 Thought it was a fluffy hair piece. Your bird is too cute!
🤣🤣🤣 I'm glad someone else found it funny. Oh yes that is little Laila! That would be a cute hair piece though too haha
Really pleased you got your new tank and got its move sorted and even laid the groundwork for when you move again. The moving guys were brill, Really knew their stuff and did a great job. The tank looks fantastic and of course with it being sumped, it gives you something new to learn and keeps the hobby fresh for you too. Can't wait for the next video.
Thank you so much Gavin 😊 Yes, I'm so excited to be able to try something new and learn all about sumps. And it's such a pleasure to be able to share it with everybody on here!
Super dope tank love it ❤❤🤟🤟🤟⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Beautiful tank and beautiful dress!! 😁👍
Thank you 😊😊😊
The new tank looks great and I'm looking forward to seeing this build progress 👍
Thank you so much 😊
Sweet new tank Kaity! Can’t wait to see it set up and running. Enjoy!
Thank you Brian 😄 I'm excited too!
Another amazing vlog Kaity 👏 . Looking forward to the setup process.
Thank you so much Vinay 😊 I'm looking forward to uploading all of the videos too!
I am so excited for you! I can't wait to see the build! 😀
Thank you 😁 it's exciting times!!
That edit about being fine was a crack up! These guys are pros and awesome dudes.
Hahaha, I'm glad someone appreciated it!! They really did a great job :)
Can't wait to see what you do with it. Congrats
Thank you 😊 Yes I'm very excited to get it all set up!!
The tank is in!! Awesome! I’ve never had a tank big enough to have a sump. Someday… getting it all hooked up does sound a little intimidating, but fun too.
Thank you!! I felt exactly the same. Cam helped me hooked up the sump yesterday and I videoed the whole thing, so that'll be my next video. Once you see it done, it's way less intimidating!
Loved the video. Like an episode of GA. Can't wait to see the tank completed.
Thank you 😄 And yes it kind of was, I think I said like 3 sentences 🤣
Congratulations and the fact you got cam is awesome as I love his videos as well
Thank you so much 😊 Yes I'm very blessed to have Cam with all of his knowledge to help me out!
Awesome video and a great looking tank Kaity 😊😊
Thank you so much Pascoe 😊
Awesome job! Looks fantastic 👌
Thank you so much 😊
Katie, you trolly moving skills are truly epic!
Hahaha, thank you 🤣
I just can't wait for you get your new aquarium set up it already looking awesome and I like the way it was just 2 people move the tank to me it's better than having a lot people all in threw ur house that's great Aquarium company to buy a tank from 2 people only 👍👍
Yes definitely!! They did an amazing job
So glad to see its moved in place, I have been there before and it’s not easy even with 4 guys. Nice setup but I prefer to have it out the wall and closer to the dining table for easy access, more space for lounging and max out viewing of the aquarium, anyway they be move again soon, can’t wait for the next episodes. 👍
Thank you so much 😊 it's such a relief! And yes I agree, I think I would prefer to have both tanks moved a bit further to the right at the next house to give some more space
"I am the glue that holds this team together"..........I laughed so hard, fantastic sense of humor! So serious but still able to have fun with it.
I can see your excitement, that is awesome.......just enjoy and have fun. Very informative video and glad this team worked out much better.
Love your videos...
Thank you so much 😊 and I'm glad you appreciated my sense of humour 🤣
New subscriber here, guess this video might have been suggested as i follow Gallery Aquatica.
I'm a salt water guy now, but had Discus etc for years before switching. Your tank is absolutely gorgeous and I'm sure your new one also will be once set up. Looking forward to following you as you set it up, and yes as lots of people already said, you definitely picked the right guys to help with the move. Cam and his crew is awesome. Didn't know he actually owned footwear though, lol
Thank you so much!! 🙌 Yes, I'm so incredibly lucky to have had Cam and Ryan to move the tank, I honestly don't know what I would have done without them. And yes I think Cam's main concern was stepping in dog poo 🤣
I happy for you ❤❤❤❤
👍 great video as usal and a very nice tank
Thank you!!
New aquarium tank looks nice👍😀
Thank you 😄
What a great looking box to put the swimmers.
It sure is!!
Good job
I really like the looks of both of your tanks Katey! Light colors always makes a room look bigger in my opinion. I look forward to getting a bigger tank in the near future!
I have 22 fish in a 60g Fluval, Drilled. Average about 3” currently.
I’m thinking probably 210g. To avoid having to upgrade next year.
Looking to start 2023 with a 210g! (Small goals) 🤘😎👍
That would be amazing!! I think that is a great size 👌
Welcome to sump life! Definitely the most easy and efficient method of filtration
I'm really enjoying it so far, and the tank is only cycling!! 🤣
I very like it and hope it all turns out great!
Thank you 😁
Sorry for the misspelled...
Nice tank can’t wait to see what you stock it with Kaity
Thank you!! 😁
Yes, you’ll never watch TV again🤣looking forward to seeing what fish you put in it.
Yes it is definitely way better than TV!! 🤣
So sweet .. I love ur presentation ..
Thank you 😄
Great jobs 😊🙏
Thank you 😄
Awesome !!! Lol... there's Laila, I love it 👩🐥
Hahaha yes, of course little Laila got to make it in 😄🦜 She wanted to be part of the action
Great job Kaity 😂
Nice video!
Thank you!! 😁
Oh, nice,
the best time of aquarium is to get a new one and think about to install and to fill with ....water....technique...and.....fishifishis.
Now you have a lot of water around you.
Respect!
Gallery is a awesome store very friendly and you always find something a little rare.
That's great to hear 😊
Makes a good room divider
It's so funny being helpless when people are moving your things. The worst feeling of wanting to help but not be in the way.
As someone who had to recently move a couple nanos and a 40B to a 2nd floor apartment through a courtyard with 5 sets of steps, I felt every bit of that stairs question.
Yes that was exactly how I felt! 🤣 I can't imagine a tank like this being moved up stairs. Tbh I think you'd need to just give up and get a crane haha
If you are the glue that keeps this team together, then you are more post it note glue than superglue 😂
Awesome moving video..
You didn't have to put it like that 😭😂 Thank you!!
Nice
Moving my 40 gallon breeder tank up a flight of stairs, and onto my aquarium stand, was much more difficult than I had originally anticipated it would be.
So, I can only imagine the difficulty that one might encounter moving a monster tank such as yours. Yikes!!
Yes they did an incredible job with just the two of them!! I was so impressed
I moved my 8 x2 x 2 got a normal moving crew they had no idea lucky for me my job involves lifting so I had three of them at one end and I had the other going backwards all ended up ok great video 👍🤩
Well done!! Technique is such a huge part of it, and it really showed with this move
Epic
Hey, I recently set up my fluval vision 87 litre tank…and I thought that was an undertaking.…🤣 Kudos to you dealing with that monster tank…👌🏽 I’ll be sticking to the nano fish..👍🏽
Hahaha, I think that is a wise decision!! I can't wait to one day own a home and never have to move my tanks again
@@Kaityscichlids Sounds like a great plan…👏🏾
Look into Klir roller filters for the sump. My WB 130.4 runs a pair of them and I change them every 1.5 to 3 months depending on feeding and water changes. I have 4 goldfish, a ton of tetra, giant danio, rainbow fish, etc and it is so much easier to let those things keep the water clear than handle socks regularly.
Thank you!! I will check it out
Not for nothing but that guy is nuts ! Moving with sandals on and barefooted! Anyway I love your new set up
🤣🤣🤣 Thank you!!
Tbh these two were pretty big guys haha! I’ll me taking delivery of my tank soon we will have 4 people and 8 suction cups and 3 dolly’s. Seeing the way these guys muscled it gives me peace of mind haha
Yes they did a good job just the two of them!!
those guys are top! shame not in UK as would have saved me that huge tank break! HaHa little bird going along with the flow!
Hahaha yes Laila loves to be a part of it 🤣
Hi Kaity I agree it does look a nicer cabinet. I've never had a sump either but I'm led to understand that maintaining them is a lot easier and quicker than doing a FX6 clean. So is it going to be a salt water set up. Looking forward to part 2. Stay safe and take care. John
Yes I'm hoping it will be a bit easier to maintain! It'll be interesting to compare the two. It's designed for saltwater but I'm going to run it as a freshwater tank
Nice new tank. Congratulations
Thank you so much :) The MTS has finally set in
@@Kaityscichlids more cichlids?
@@multipletanksyndrome yes, but probably South American ones this time 😁
@@Kaityscichlids I was wondering, cause you kept mentioning saltwater... Discus or others?
@@multipletanksyndrome oh yes, that would be because the tank is sold as a "saltwater tank"/was previously used as a saltwater setup. Probably not discus, I'm thinking more angelfish and rams, then maybe some loach varieties
It's making me wince that he chose to do this in a pair of flippies 😄. Still, great job!
🤣🤣🤣 Cam said people would definitely comment on his "safety boots"
It's so aussie!
Massive Fish CZcamsr
Moving guy - 'whats your name again'
XD XD
It wasn't until the end that Cam asked "So what's the video for?" And I realised I forgot to explain why I wanted to film 😂
❤❤❤❤
Eu não conseguiria dormir com um aquário assim sem travas 😂
Oh laila in your hair!!!
I'm jealous 😭
I am definitely very lucky!!
Id make sure that your floor joists can handle the weight of both of those tanks! Thats ALOT of weight and can start to flex the floor and wood underneath.
Awesome tank !! 🐠. Will you be putting in african chiclids. In there ?
Thank you! Probably not this time, I think I'm going to go for South American cichlids in this new one :)
Ficaria lindo um amazonico do Brasil na sua casa 😅
Hai kaity . This team great to move tank u made right decision ...kaity is it salt water tank
Yes I'm so fortunate to have had them help me with this!! It's going to be a freshwater setup, but it is technically designed for saltwater
Hey Katie, just a question. Will you be taking some media out of your original aquarium and putting it into the filter of your new aquarium for a quicker cycle?
Probably not, I think I am going to let it cycle on its own and document the process
Congrats on your new tank kaity I’m so happy for you 😁 but I’m a bit confused, is it gonna be a salt or fresh water tank? 🌹🌹🌹
Thank you!! 😁 I'm going to be running it as a freshwater tank, but it was initially designed for saltwater
@@Kaityscichlids it looks great 🌹
NOooooo not fresh water
@@joenewman6494 😂 maybe one day...
@@Kaityscichlids Beautiful tank tho both of them greetings from the USA❤️
O meu tem 330 litros e foi um terror para entrar no elevador do predio , nao gosto nem de lembrar 😂
Do you notice a clarity difference between the two tanks? I kno the new tank is technically made for salt water so the glass may be a bit thicker than the clear?
🥰😍🐟🐟
How you paid for two big tanks like that?
Omg. Kaity. So gooood.
Great upload.
I'm so excited to have found an aussie channel. So refreshing.
I miss qld.
The fences those yards! The weather!
So aussie him in thongs and barefoot!! Love!!!!
Hahah
Hahaha yes, it is so great finding Aussie channels!! The weather was beautiful, and the thongs are definitely the icing on the cake 🤣
Will it be a cichlid tank?
Probably for South American cichlids
Why did u replace the tank ? Isn’t the same size ? Was it damaged?
It's not a replacement, it's an addition 😄
Why is the sump plumbing so dirty? Did you buy the tank used?
Yes, that's right! I got it secondhand. The previous owners had it setup as a marine tank
@@Kaityscichlids ok I was just curious I thought maybe I missed something
So will you be having 2 tanks at the same time?
Yes, that's right!! Doubling the love :D
@@Kaityscichlids you are living the dream!!!!!
where abouts in aus are you?
In Brisbane QLD 😊
@@Kaityscichlids Nice, im in perth :)
Beautiful set ups but is it just me or does the word video sound strange when its said on this? Lol
Im curious…… im in the usa. I wonder what the price difference is ? Your in Australia. Maybe tht tank is cheaper. Then here in usa
I bought this one secondhand off Gumtree (which is like our Craigslist here) so I got it for a really good price. Less than 50% of what I would have paid for it brand new!
@@Kaityscichlids awesome ! 🐠
I told you that you should setup another tank , do you remember ?! 😅
i think you should keep in this tank tanganyika cichlids especially trophies cichlid 🙄🤔
Hahaha yes, I think you were the first person to say it 🤣 I hope you're happy now!!
@@Kaityscichlids Of course I'm happy and I wish you good luck with that
What is the measurement
It's roughly 6ft by 2ft by 2ft :)
you live on ground level right, like not on the second floor?? 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Hahaha yes, I would be very concerned if it was a 2nd floor 🤣
Your old home and new home looks same lol
Hahaha, it actually is! 🤣 It just faces the opposite direction
those steel toes flip flops don't look osha approved.
😂😂😂 Yes I don't think so somehow
@@Kaityscichlids I'm just bustin ya balls...im trying to get my daughter into fish tanks and aqua scapes. She'll be 13 next month and she wants a Jackson's chameleon.
@@mjayb83 maybe you can convince her into a paludarium! That way you can have some water down the bottom with fish in it and build her interest in them 😁 I've got a bearded dragon and blue tongue skink, but sadly we can't have cool lizards like chameleons here in Australia
@@Kaityscichlids good ideas. Well, Florida is over run with invasive snakes and fish. Hawaii has an invasive chameleon problem. You guys are just smarter. Palladium is a great idea.
hi kaity you know its realy hard to move larg tank.when i shift my tank in my kids room we are 8 people but its realy make us tired caz of its weight.i was realy scarey becaz we all 8 people unprofessional.while we holding over tank on over hands and start walking to room me start praying by hart oh plz God help us and save my tank.
Omg I know that feeling!! I felt the same having my initial Waterbox moved in. We had 5-6 people with some glass grips and I didn't know how it would end. Also just praying it would be ok 🤣
@@Kaityscichlids i am happy to see ur reply.thanks and i am waiting your new video.
Hey Kaity! Hope all is well. Did You know someone swiped/stole one of your vids? Let me find it…
This is your tank, right?
czcams.com/users/shorts6ojY-sscQbA?feature=share
Oh no, I didn't know!
@@Kaityscichlids hope u can report it👍🏽
one word. nightmare
The first time was, but this time went super smoothly! Definitely a lot of work though
Homeboy came to work on sandals then proceeds to kick those stank birds off in your house, exposing his dirt stained feet all up on your glorious wood floor.
😂😂😂
Really like the guys you hired but hate the fact that he wears flip flops while working
Haha yes, he said he would get comments on the flip flops
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, hehe, yeah, yeah, yeah
Congratulations on getting the tanks safely into your place! Sounds like those guys knew exactly what they were doing. I’m so glad that you didn’t let the original guys try and do that. It sounded like moving this tank was not the easiest task. Can’t wait to see what you do with it!💥💥😁🤘🏻🐠🦯
Thank you so much Brandon 😊 I'm so glad that it didn't work out with the original company too! This has been infinitely better. It also means I have people to help me move my tanks in the future. So in the end it all worked out for the best 🙏
@@Kaityscichlids what size was that tank again?🐠🦯
@@theblindfishkeeper it's a 6ft by 2ft by 2ft. It's a rimless tank so the glass is 19mm thick which makes it suuuuper heavy
@@Kaityscichlids I bet it’s absolutely gorgeous! I believe 6‘ x 2‘ x 2‘ is somewhere in the neighborhood of 180 US gallons. I think. Absolutely amazing!🤘🏻🐠🦯
