This looks good as the overworld version for the portal, with the nether side being made of Blackstone and Nether Bricks instead. (Also normal fire if you prefer). I do think there are too much chiseled stone bricks and you should replace some with regular stone bricks, though. Another idea is to reverse so the netherrack creeps into the overworld and the grass creeps into the nether with opposite portals.
