I saw the Scientology ship in Aruba February 23 and you could feel the darkness from across the dock.. in town there are subtly placed cards offering “staff” a chance to escape. The narrative also said it hadn’t moved, which is incorrect as the ship had just returned from a tour I believe.
The South African Air Force helicopters and pilots did a fantastic job of making sure passengers were rescued from the Oceanas while the captain was already safely off the vessel. What a repulsive little coward he was.
I was on the MS Jupiter, part of the Epirotiki fleet, that sank on 21st October 1988. We were left fighting for our lives, while the Captain was nice and dry.
Here’s an historical example: In 1978, a company called Venture Cruise Lines bought the SS America, an ocean liner from the late 1930s; it was a complete disaster because the ship was so poorly refurbished that there were even rats and cockroaches on board. Only lasted for just one “complete” voyage out of New York.
Back in 1990, teenage me spent a week on Epirotiki’s smallest and shittiest ship - the 5000 tonne “MV Jason.” The ship was old, the staff were surly and the food was almost edible. Nonetheless, it was a HELL of a lot better than the Carnival flagship cruise (80 000 tonne “MV Ecstasy”) that I experienced 1 year later. I have since refused to embark on any sort of cruise, and my life is all the better for it.
Ez cruise sounds like Frontier. Cant beat the base fare, but they charge for absolutely everything else. By the time you get your standard seat, and pay for bags, you’re paying MORE for Frontier than regular airlines with better flights
Where did North Korean obtain that meth in the first place? For what possible purpose did they move it into Japan? Obvious answer "for sale" doesn't actually work if you think about it. And why would they need 700 Japanese? In 1992 the country was close to facing famen - what's the point to bring 700 extra mouths that need feeding?

They’ve gotten much better than the Ecstasy Class, I’ve never had a serious issues after 55 cruises.
The North Korean Cruise is a nightmare, even if I could afford it, I'd rather die. Squatting toilets? Mattresses on the floor? Ew.
