I enjoyed this film recently. Felt sorry for her husband not living up to "Nora's" childhood sweetheart. 😔

I didn't feel it like she thought that her husband wasn't "enough" compared to the Korean guy, I just felt that their love-relationship (between Koreans) would have been different but not necessarily successful, that is the beauty of life, we never know, maybe the beauty of this non-relationship lives in the fact that it remains a fantasy.
In the bar scene, the Korean says it all in one sentence: he says that it had to be this way because she is she (a free bird), and he is he (not an adventurer). I think it is a beautiful vision and way to accept that some stories belong to the past and that our life choices lead us to where we belong, instead of living in our fantasies. She looks happy with her husband. Of course she cries in the end when he leaves, but we are not sure why, she is a creative soul so maybe she idealizes what they could have been together, maybe she knows that they won't see each other in a long long time from now, maybe she misses her homeland at that moment, her childhood there, etc. That man focuses all she left when she was a child, it is too many emotions in one.
