install MinGW through given installer after 1st window of installation, MinGW Installation manager will appear select Basic setup, right below Installation now limited Package will appear in the right window select mingw32base and mingw32 gcc g++ then click installation in the left panel, click apply changes a new window will pop up, click apply then wait for 15 min to install its done only thing left is to set the path

Sir can u remake a video just for the setup of mingw it will help a lot as there are new popups for installation and I know there are many other videos that i can find on the internet for the same but there are some channels which just tell straight that do this, do that and done some goes a more complicated way like install this from the installation manager on mingw and etc. + There are so many people in comments that are facing errors. So then i just decides to use gcc compiler for c and anaconda navigator for python.

17:25 instead of writing that every time to compile and execute the code, download the extension "code runner" you will have a play button at top right corner that compiles and executes the code. Before that you need do everything mentioned in the video.
When i compile the code with gcc main.c nothing happens. Powershell terminal just shows gcc main.c written as it is in the next line and that automatically generated 'a' file upon which we have to do that a + tab operation, it does not appear. Please help someone , i have followed each step exactly.
Couldn't install by your method as it wasn't appearing in Program files(x86), but installed it through msys2 by following online instructions, working just fine, plus error video was very helpful

I would like to clarify that VSCode is actually not an IDE it is an actual code editor. And IDE is the program that provides full support to a particular language like CLion. That is an IDE that has inbuilt features for full support on that language like full syntax highlighting and in build compile for C/C++ VSCode is a code editor that supports all editors but it can also be turned INTO an IDE for syntax highlighting and other stuff but still you wont have the compile inbuilt in VSCode. Just wanted to clarify that VSCode isn't an IDE, an IDE is like CLion.

So I decided to set the environment to run all the languages I am learing only at VS Code. And you video helped me a lot today:) Again thank you! and I can now uninstall additional IDEs (Pycharm, CodeBlocks) and free up some space for my laptop to breath:)

Edit: For MAC users Clang is already installed on my mac so I will wait to watch further videos. I don't think GCC needs to be checked in terminal similar to windows where gcc.exe exists. In clang, no such file exists so probably not needed. Will update accordingly.

Thank you very much. I saw other videos to do this but this was the best👍💯. The only different thing I did was I used the minGW from code blocks to copy in program files as my PC was not able to open exe files:😊

QQ: Are we supposed to look for GCC incase of mac clang compiler as well? struggling with that, trying to fix but thought I will try my luck here in comments as well.
Edit:
For MAC users
Clang is already installed on my mac so I will wait to watch further videos. I don't think GCC needs to be checked in terminal similar to windows where gcc.exe exists. In clang, no such file exists so probably not needed. Will update accordingly.

@@mahek6008 It's still not done. I tried all of mingw, clang, and GCC but I guess I am missing some settings - or I have made some changes unknowingly in setting not letting it work as expected (after following some yt videos)
