I bought a COHO but had to return it. After several emails back and forth with Burley they explained they do not offer an axel or other way to attach to any bike equipped with a Universal Derailer hanger.
Also suspension spring is set for 70lbs and they don't offer a lower rated replacement spring, making the suspension useless.
I was very sorry to have to return it.

The UDH screwed you up??? Is that not just a thorough axil??? That is a lot of bikes you're talking about...
You can pick up a spring anywhere, I don't understand your logic...

Love mine but the stand height adjuster is temperamental and the bosses on the rear mudguard aren't properly welded and just spin. I found the cargo net that came with my Skoda Octavia is a better option than the one that came with it. Great trailer though, tracks well, very easy to use.

Thanks so much for the input! We haven’t used it to it’s fullest potential yet, but we are going on a bike packing trip and will give it a try. I’m curious to see how it does! We’ll definitely keep your suggestions in mind. We are hoping to give it a trial run sometime within the next couple of weeks before our bike packing trip, and will also post an update on it 🙂

Hi! Great close-up review, gracia... you even showed the PSI on the tire, your the first...👊 Please, when reviewing the ride, can you also share the turning-radius? I saw the trailer had to be taken off the bike to make a turn? The build of this XC has me believing it can make steep angle turn, does one really have to take it off the bike itself? thank you, in advance! gracia

Hi! You are very welcome! I’m glad you liked the unboxing video. We have been practicing around our neighborhood and haven’t had issues, but not in very closed turns; however, we’ll definitely be testing the turning radius on our upcoming bike packing trip, so will definitely be part of the follow up video 🙂

It can do tight turns, but you better have momentum. I did a tight turn while walking and the trailer (heavily loaded) almost fell over and almost took my bike with it. I was able to fix it by grabbing the trailer and uprighting it, but it was not a great moment.

@@1esk192 I see, thank you. So, it has a better and smoother turn while turning.

I have one and I'd say the turning radius is about 1.50 meters (or a diameter of 3 meters). Basically, it's enough in most situation, even to zigzag between the posts/gates you may find at the ends of a bikelane (to prevent cars from going on the bikelane) but you can't make a U-turn on a 2 meters wide bikelane for instance.
As 1esk192 said it can tip over in tight turns when it's loaded cuz' the turning axle is behind the bike wheel. So in a tight turn, with your bike forming an angle with the trailer, you find yourself with a lot of weight "hanging" somewhere arond the hinge.
I think it's advised to load the trailer primarily near the wheel, so as to put more weight on the wheel, less on the hinge.
It's surely not perfect (the shock has no damper so it may bounce around, and it has a weird size so you can't replace it with any other one) but it's still a good trailer.

But I need “12 x 1.25TP nutted axle adapters” and they don’t want to machine compatible adapters for it. 🧐

Hi Gary! Thank you for your input 😊 It all depends on what type of dropouts your frame has, Burley sells a few different types of axels to accommodate different types of frames. In our case, my husband’s bike uses a Sram universal derailleur hanger which has a cap on the axel threads (so technically not compatible with this trailer system). However, he modified that cap to allow the axel to go through it and still retaining the hanger in place as it’s supposed to. We rode 50+ miles of gravel roads and single track in the Pisgah National Forest in NC this past weekend with him pulling the trailer and we had no issues. I will be posting a new video soon of our trip with a full review of it and modifications we did to make it work for us! 😃

Hello, I want to buy this trailer and my fat ebike has the motor in the rear tire and I can't find a way to use the trailer since the nut does not fit because of the motor cable, will you know a solution, thank you and regards
