Can’t fault any of your choices here Chris. I was the same with Adam, loved Norah and Amos, wasn’t until the vertex video I found out it was him 🙌
Worth mentioning Rich Hinman who was in that video with Adam, also Mason Stoops who Adam has done some videos with, he’s also in Jackson Browne’s band.
Tom Bukovac has been the kick up the arse we all needed I think. A guy who walks the talk and has the credentials to prove it. You can tell he’s lived a life too, his playing is visceral and emotive.
Great video👌 would love to see one highlighting some of the unsung session guys of the U.K. that might be cool

Thanks for watching man! Yeah that Vertex interview was brilliant - so glad Mason did that and featured those specific records! Absolutely, Rich Hinman is awesome, love his pedalsteel playing but didn't realise he played guitar too! And Mason Stoops is such a cool player - really reminds me of Blake Mills/Ry Cooder, just heaps of mojo! 👌🏻
I totally know what you mean, he launched his channel at the perfect time, I think we all needed some musical grounding in 2020 and it definitely lit a fire under me during that time - Guitar felt fresh again! 👌🏻
Really appreciate it dude, and thanks for the video recommendation - love that idea and i'll definitely add it to the list! 🤘🏻

All great examples of great players with great feel. I was very familiar will all bar Duke Levine who I shall be checking out immediately. Whilst they are all unique there's a common thread here. None are shredders, play by and large clean tones and favour harmony and melody above all else. Even Bukovac, with all his skill and chops, knows how to serve the song. All very much in my favoured 'wheelhouse' of player.
There's a wonderful live studio set by the Tobias Hoffmann Quartet that is a particular favourite of mine:

Another firm favourite of mine is Bill Frisell, a wonderful set by his trio is here:

Thanks for watching Peter, i'm glad you got a new player to check out as a result! Duke Levine is so tasteful, he's been a big influence on me - I think you'll get a lot out of his music. 'The Fade Out' and 'Left To My Own Devices' are two records to check out first!
Thanks so much for sending over those links, i'm also a huge Bill Frisell fan! Both tonally and melodically! I'll be sure to check those out!
Hope you're having a good week mate! 🎸
