Grave of Man - Dungeons & Dragons [5e] Campaign - Part 2 - Don't Hit On Dryads

- Grave of Man is a custom Dungeons & Dragons (5th Edition) campaign that I've made specifically for this show. It started as a silly joke, and I'm really hoping it'll grow into something big over time.
So far I'm having a blast.
I'll probably re-write this later.

Greg is my favourite character by far. So much Russian bugbear of amazingness. After all he may be covered in fur, but inside Greg is soft.
and outside since he is still covered in fur.
I agree greg is best russian lol xD also they all remind me of the odd choices that my own party members known as my friends make oh wander from a fellow dm how I envy all your future headaches and much much more stuff
Greg is wonderful he keeps me smiling through this campaign. Big soft brutes 4 lyfe,
I want bird to talk in that voice forever
Some silly item suggestions. I do not guarantee that they are all balanced for a low-level party (or any party).
Anti-Axe: In combat, functions as a magical axe, but if used on wood, the wood is repaired of damage instead of being damaged. Plant creatures are neither damaged nor healed.
Armor of Barding: If you are wearing this plate armor when you level up, you gain the level in Bard regardless of prerequisites. If you already have all your levels in Bard, you become a horse. A horse with one more level in bard.
Bag of Colding: Holds as much as a regular bag of its size, but whatever is put in is chilled.
Boxing Gloves: If you enclose an object within your hands while wearing these gloves, the object becomes encased in a small paper box. Objects too large to be fully enclosed in your hands are not affected.
Cloak of Secrecy: The wearer of the cloak feels a powerful desire to keep secrets, and must succeed on a DC 15 Charisma saving throw to give anyone information.
Dwarven Greatsword: A sword much smaller than most other greatswords. Has nothing to do with dwarves.
Ear Ring Ear Ring: The wearer of this earring can use a bonus action to make a person within 30 ft. experience tinnitus for 2d20 minutes once per day. Can be worn on the finger instead, but in that case the duration is only 1d20 minutes.
Flying Carpet: A carpet that becomes twice as comfortable when used by someone who is flying. A great makeshift saddle for flying mounts.
Garden Globe: A glass globe with what appears to be a tiny garden of fantastic plants inside. Every day the garden is different.
Healing Beans: Eating one of these 1d10 beans heals 1d4 hit points, but causes uncontrollable... heart health... for 1d12 hours. Eating multiple beans stacks duration.
Ice Nyan: A small piece of non-melting ice which freezes water at room temperature, shaped like a cat head. When dropped into water, the water becomes a cat-like ice elemental, up to Huge in size depending on the volume.
Jargoon: A light-yellow gemstone which causes the holder to speak in unnecessarily complex language. Anyone trying to understand the holder must succeed at a DC 10 Intelligence saving throw. Worth 50 GP.
Kiss of Death: When touched to the lips, this silver and hematite amulet summons a CR 15 fiend representing death itself, who will offer to kiss the bearer, and depart afterwards. Can only be used once every 99 years.
Lost Scroll: No matter how carefully you organize, this blank scroll will never be in the same place you left it. It will be 5 times 1d10 feet away and requires a DC 15 Investigation check to find.
Magic Stone: The holder of this stone immediately becomes aware that it is magic, but detecting what it does requires a DC 22 Arcana check. (It doesn't do anything.)
Needle of Need: When placed in water, the needle will float and point towards whatever the person who placed it needs most. Usually straight up, since most terrestrial creatures direly need to breathe air.
Oobleck Armor: A suit of medium armor consisting of a floppy, slime-filled vest, which confers greater resistance against more forceful blows but is easily squished by weak attacks. The AC of the armor is equal to 7 plus double the attacker's to-hit bonus.
Perfect Pancake: The best pancake that has ever been made. When eaten, gives Inspiration and counts as a full day's rations.
Rattling Bones: When dropped on the floor, these unidentifiable bones clatter together nonstop until they are picked up.
Silver Fork: This fork counts as a silvered weapon and does 1d1 piercing damage.
Sword of Raise Dead: Any dead body touched by this sword floats up to 10 feet upwards, and remains there for one minute or as long as the bearer maintains concentration.
Tray of Balance: Items stacked on this silver tray will never topple over unless they are pushed.
Universal Key: This key can open any door with a keyhole, but rather than whatever is normally on the other side of the door, the door will open on to a small closet... always the same closet. Closing the door returns it to normal.
Veil of Second Sight: This veil allows the wearer to see with both eyes, if they could only see with one otherwise.
Wolfsbean: A bean which wolves like to eat. If planted, it grows into a beanstalk that forces all wolves and werewolves within 1 mile to make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw once a day. If they fail, they will seek out the beanstalk and attempt to eat its beans. The beanstalk can feed 5 wolves or werewolves before it must regrow its beans over the course of a week.
Haha, i like these!
BEAAAAAANS!!!!!!!!! *NOMS *
I'm definitely gonna use a few of these
*suddenly a ghost pops out of a box and yells* I am the box ghost!!!!!
there are so many episodes its like watching one pices from first episode to curent
D&D campaigns get loooong.
wanderbots icon "behold , my greatness..."
"found a ton of stuff" a shield and a tiny bit of food
also in the 2:40:00 fight you gotta be more careful roling so many misstakes like in 2:45:08 you removed one lizzard man hit even though the one came after he hit so it was a meaning less rerole and before that chell got a crit but didnt do crit dmg
With an Intelligence of 18, Skitter should become an Arcane Trickster.
I have only played D&D once and it quickly turned into a laughing stock, but this is fun to watch and renewed my interest. Thank you for posting this on YT :).
+Faker Senpai :D
Wanderbots :)
(I know I'm a bit late, but shhh)
If I were them, I probably would have grabbed a few of those ever-burning torches...seem useful, right?
Drez was here.
Unfortunately, i do not have the arcane knowledge to understand this message. Whatever could it mean?
Clearly a Druidic message left to convey some sagely wisdom.
If you're going to do things like disarm the attacker on a crit fail, you should absolutely still roll twice if they have disadvantage. Probably won't matter, but you never know.
For a weird item idea, you could try the Indestructible Spoon. A foot and a half long 'wooden' spoon, appears to be a pure white coloring; and of course, is completely impossible to destroy. It seems like a worthless item at first, but in the hands of a clever player it shines. If you happen to see this comment Wander, feel free to use this item or not. Just an idea I had from an old game before.
Harp of Confusion - Any non-undead enemies are very confused when it is used. (Including the party)
are constucts also exclude
d?*
Eye of a Blooddrunk Hunter /High insight response "The eye of a Blood-Drunk Hunter. Its pupil is collapsed and turned to mush, indicating the onset of the scourge of beasts."/ Monster's Eye/Low insight response "It's an eye , you think? not sure what monster it belongs to, but it looks nasty."
You actually do have a rope, you found one in the chest in the hole.
Heya, my phone can't handle Reddit or Discord, so I'll just leave this here:Crown of Context: You can use this item a number of times daily equal to half your charisma or wisdom modifier rounded up. It allows you to glean one minor piece of information about an object or creature.
i want to see an anime of the entire series
Wander’s voices are really fricking good.
His voice for the Cheiftain was really good and interesting
Arrows of healing when allies are shot with them they gain a d6 hp
Chelle singing seems like Disney you know? when she sicks everything really changes hahaha
:D Aw, thanks! It's one reason why I wanted to roll a Bard this time around. The magic of music!!!
first time I see a bard played in D&D. and it is awesome!
João Matheus Rios Da Costa bards are crazy useful and I've even seen one singlehandedly save the entire party once.
I thought they were kind useless. but the buffs that they can give for dye rolling is very useful also
João Matheus Rios Da Costa they are very useful and can do a lot of things that other classes cant.
it whould be hilarious if you had an huge enemy well armed and armored that was a one hit kill also he should monologue .
Nope. TABLEMANCERRRRRRR!
Bird Knocking save life
Stolen from elsewhere, but bagpipes of invisibility would be awesome. Chell could turn invisible, but only while playing the bagpipes.
Nicholes Huber I remember that but I don't remember from where. Were was that from?
A flaming axe made of paper called "flaxe paper"
With advantage they should roll twice even if they hit, because they might get a 20. Bird should have said do you like sappy things? I can be sappy.
item ideas:
Cantrip rings: let's people do Cantrips from other classes a limited number of times per day.
girdle of gender swapping: cursed item that switches the sex of the wearer and can't be removed unless (insert condition here)
pacifist's sword: gives disadvantage on attack rolls with it, but improves illusion spells and persuade attempts.
Shikigami: a paper servant. a few inches tall and almost no strength or health. weak to water and fire attacks. (creating them could be a Cantrip for an NPC.)
Birds dryad pickup lines are amazing!
You guys have all played 3.5 haven't you? In 5e a lot has changed, for example when you gave Chelle a scimitar. In 5e a scimitar is a martial slashing weapon which Bards are not proficient in. It deals slashing damage while a Rapier deals piercing. And also, Scimitars deal only 1D6 damage while Rapiers deal 1D8. Also one last thing, Chelle should know(and it may not matter based on her stats) but she can use dex or str when wielding her rapier.
Didn't realize they changed that much. I honestly have paid no mind to equipment/proficiency changes with 5e. Ah well.
I have a friend who you all remind me of. He continued to bring in rules from 3.5 which confound me. I never played it myself, I have only played 2e and 5e. What I hear from him is that 5e has really simplified stuff which is nice and I really like it but I see how it can be difficult to come from 3.5 and have all these guidelines to be told they no longer exist. Either way I love this series, you guys are all hilarious and Skitter is probably one of the greatest NPC's i have ever heard.
As per the dex OR Str thing, they basically just built Weapon Finesse into a handful of weapons, with the overhaul of the Feat system it didn't make sense to impose a Feat tax on dex combat. Most of the changes in 5e are pretty good, vast improvement from 4e imo.
chelle is a really good singer
Me and a friend of mine have a twitter for a half-dead podcast we tried a month and so ago, does a shoutout there count for the npc stuff? Because I do have a simple idea, easy npcs (a pair) and I do want to help out (your series are pretty much my go-to since depression hit, I want to repay for the many laughs and good time provided by your channel)
The Pearlescent orb, it seems to constantly shimmer with magical energy, and the user can use their reaction to exorb any oncoming magical attack taking half damage and the orb gains a number of charges equal to the exorbed spells level. when a melee attack is made the user can spend a charge to deal an extra d4 force damage. the orb can hold a maximum of 36 charges and when it's charges are full the orb glows brighter creating visible light and vibrates with power, when this happens as an action the user may shoot a iron man esck Lazer beam out of the orb dealing 8d8+10 force damage. this can be nerfed or buffed as needed. also the orb can easily be mounted onto any armor such as in the middle of a chest pice. it can also easily fit into ones hand.
seems a little powerful. i was thinking he meant more of fun magic items like my own creation the Sword of Taco Tuesday, a short sword that can summon an infinite number of tacos as long as its Tuesday.
lonely one That's cool ,but at the end he says something about really powerful items even though I don't think this item is a God killer like Wonder said.
Lol when I heard him ask if they have any rope around the 30:00 mark I thought he was going to attempt to hang his character
I'm late to the series, so can someone please tell me that Greg does all of the negotiations
super hero landing lol
THE DECK OF MANY THINGS
Why the chef lizard man sound like he’s a teenager going through his edgy phase
Question is how the hell did he squeeze himself inside that chest?
"I am Greg Gecknu"
I put on subtitles and it said "I am Greg dick new"
They should add a Hammer weapon like in scrap mechanic could even find it in some kind of metal scrap they meet along their way Bird could use it or something don't know much on specifics don't know to much about D&D hope we could see something like that!
cool stuff man
Please load more enemy/npc Tokens (icons), I am enjoying watching and listening, but recolored wanders gets kinda confusing.
Unfortunately I'm making everything by hand and havent had the time to make everything properly. I'll try to get more out by next session, but I'm not 100% sure if it'll happen.
Wanderbots custom content is always appreciated. But I think I saw some roll20 token packs available... wether they're fair use/ copywritten/etc or anything is out of my realm. regardless, I look forward to the next installments
Roll20 has a 'marketplace'. There's a bunch of free stuff on there, it's pretty basic but it does the job. People can also put stuff up there for sale though so there's a bunch of (relatively cheap) token packs and the like that other roll20 users have made.
TheMfbuddha i
Did you guys get Marbozir to play with you ? O_O :D
For a moment I thought it was him then I realised it was Bird :D
We need to get fan art of skitter.
I already made official art for him! Even have the painting process video on my channel :D. I'm Chelle/Elaryn by the way.
can you help me figure out how to DM on roll20 and help making a campaign ?
Didn't chelle pick up the scimitar?
"I came here to kick ass but not yours forgot his name,, "ok big bear dude why u want to kick a guy's ass if u dont know his name?,,
Drez was here
What do the mysterious symbols mean?
Is this heavily houseruledor some expansion? The spells and some other rules don't match the PHB I downloaded.
Since I'm the only player with a Player's Handbook, there's gonna be a decent amount of confusion over what class has what spells and whatnot. It should get better as we go along, sorry!
hey wander i was wondering if there was any way that you could share the background for the campaign me and my friends wanted to try to play this campaign
Sure why not. imgur.com/a/JKDgL
thank you man

behold my GREATNESS
Jack Dout PRAISE THE SUN!
I known I’m late but do you have the regular free account or an upgraded one
Sooo no schimitar Chelle?
Can u make me like xur from destiny that sales rare or exotic weapons to them
Man... Bird voice is to much.... just to much i can't handle it...
2:06:40 Don’t mind me, just marking my spot.
an eye of agimoto nightfurry cloke the fedora of Jones a wand of elder the ring of hallows the mask of Loki the magic mushroom of Mario magical unbrella that makes it rain when it's open and the kingsmans wepons of choice.
I really liked the crit system in 3.5. Don't know why they complicated it in 5e
It's easier in 5e, they just dont know the new rules yet. You only crit on a nat 20, period. I liked the crit ranges and stuff as well, but it's definitely not easier.
Im hoping that chele go for lore or whisper and drez go for circle of either land or moon
Albert I am the curses you was fire waves of fire cascading off of you that's the curse
Can we post item ideas in the comments?
Sure!
in that case, how powerful a magic item are you looking for?
Really good question (I thought of an item that would be super op if used correctly but could also screw over whoever uses it)
Honestly, low to medium grade. These guys are level 2, so anything OP is simply out of their reach for a very long time.
What website/program do you use to play this
the free website of Roll20
Thanks!
Celio Hogane well.... freemium.... you can use it for free but it locks you out of a good chunk of stuff unless you pay
Fortunately, it doesn't lock you out of anything you need.
Mr Vonwalt true, true.... just better icons and a bigger board if my memory is correct (I haven't used Roll20 in like 3 years...)
i've already watched to basically the end of this and already know that scitter is going to be the beloved AI character basically that survives until the last episode then dies and everyone cries
1:52:28
\o/
i'm doing that on tumblr
2:07:27
