Fami was my favorite part of this chapter. She had been through so much comedic trauma from Guilly, to being dropkicked, to being so hungry, etc. That’s not to downgrade the seriousness of what happened to Denji but Fami was a real one for helping out.
Also, we’ll see how Denji and Asa will be interacting now that his secret is out. Short but interesting chapter.
I really like how in chapter 161 she immediately kneeled down to help assemble Dennis despite Yoru specifically ordering the humans to do it. It's the little things that make me like her character so much.

The thing that struck me the most this chapter was this meta narrative of everyone feeling the absurdity of the reality that they're living in especially Asa directly commenting upon how she, a completely normal person not related to any of this had 15 minutes of fame after which noone remembers her and lost an arm. How all this feels like she's living inside a dream and yet this absurdity where things have just been happening is the reality. The proof is in the pain like denji's physical pain & and everything that's missing like parts of Asa.
I think at the beginning of the chapter with the news, it was supposed to show us harukos guilt for what he’s done. We saw him talk about it to fami when they were first let out of prison. He watches and listens to the person on the news talk about some big event that made her and her mother suicidal and scared to go outside, and in my opinion he probably thought that she was talking about all the church members turning into chainsaw people, which is why he has a big reaction when the person on tv says she has something to say to the person who caused it, and when he looks confused after it’s towards the idol.
I feel like it moreso has to do with the fact that he was partially responsible for spreading the misinformation about the church, given that he was supposed to be one of it's figureheads
Fami could have the biggest Mukbang channel of all time and not 1 but 2 ball crushing panels in the same chapter dang Dennis poor lad also Nail Devil had me chuckling big time

I wonder if food really is Fami's true source of power. I also saw someone saying that her body may very well look malnourished (she always wears her long-sleeved school uniform so we can't really tell).
its a strong possibility considering her power and name deals with loss of food, it'd make a lot of since that she's cursed with a massive apatite all the time, or just needs to eat a lot to use her powers to her full capabilities... I like to think fuji is writing her character this way because its similar to how makima and nayuta character act/work, using emotions and wtv means to control denji/pochita to get what they want... if you look up fami's full name "famine" the feedback definition points out the other 3 horseman as a cause/result from famine... (war), government policies(control), and increased mortality(death) idk if fuji went that deep into the 4horseman when choosing their powers but regardless they all pretty damn powerful when feared
I found the most interesting part of the chapter to be how often the characters mentioned they felt like they were dreaming, like Haruka, Asa and Denji.
It helps show how the craziness of the recent events of P2 have caused the characters themselves to call it out, it is a very interesting part of the character moments in this chapter.
I believe that fami is definitely eating to prepare for the battle vs chainsaw man

Although its a theme for chainsawman part 2 to see denji's strugles whit life and suffer because of it ..i feel like this chapter did a bit too much it was almost cruel to witness denji barely waking up only to have 2 asholes breaking the boy nuts ,

Hey Sufferents at 5:26 Makima’s ability isn’t if others see themselves lesser it’s if she sees herself as superior to them. Not sure if that was a slip uo or not but I get what uou meant when relating how the horse(wo)men handle their powers. Great video as ALWAYS!
Perhaps Makima’s weakness could be more so her inability to “control”relationships which goes back to why Denji raised Nayuta the way he did, so that Makima could keep that sense of control without ruining things. She always wanted connection but her control was the obstacle blocking her from that dream.

Not a fan of Asa's reaction to Denji being Chainsaw Man, I was expecting a lot more shock, self reflection, back and forth with Yoru, etc. Pretty disappointing. But Katana Man is great, the stomp in the balls is a great callback. I need Denji to beat this loser back into submission lmao.
Well Asa still thinks Denji stood her up, so i definitely wouldn’t blame her on that. And now she first hand gets to know, Denji is so important for some reason, the Guy that in Asa’s mind rejected her. Also Yoru just told us that she never cared for Denji anyway. So she could care less for Asa’s feelings as well, during this specific moment.

The Denji katana man faced was super inexperienced, right now, he is even able to stand his ground against a primal devil and 3v1 average hybrids. Even if Katanaman pulls his move, Denji can just reconnect his body through his chains like he did while fighting fall or when he got his head cut off in hell, or just continue fighting while dismembered, unlike Katanaman
And that’s only if we assume Denji can’t still keep up. Saw how he was running against the worms? Boy was MOVING. He is probably faster than he was at that moment. Katanaman vs current Denji is just him asking for another L
