Lumions has been on a downhill as of recently, also the fact that twinmotion Is unreal compatible is already a win on my book

It is also based on UE4 but has much better GI solution than TM but features of TM are better
the quality in Lumion in better in the end result but Twinmotion is getting better and the interface is pretty easy

I've been manually importing Quixel models/textures etc in for ages, it was so time consuming, this is an amazing update to have it integrated. And bridging to Unreal is a great addition.
So excited! Was about to ask for the timeframe, but discovered it's out! Just yesterday used 2020.2 for a presentation, next one on Friday will have extra power COME ON BOYS!

I have been waiting for thissss.... but not yet
One of the tools that have changed in the last updates was the issue of "Metalness", which previously could be modified in percentage, now it is only possible to activate or deactivate it. I myself find the previous form much better, as it was possible to give reflectivity to a material without necessarily changing the reflection options, which limited some possible editions of the material a little.

It would be interesting to add a rendering option not in real time, as it would improve the issues of reflection, lighting, etc. So leaving two options for final rendering, in real time, and another that performs image calculations.👍
Everything is fine, BUT would you improve rendering/lighting at least as D5 renderer has? (Twinmotion outputs is still somehow bleached out, the lighting is still not correct :( )
totally agree.the render output stil looks pretty bad. everybody knows lumion is still the best on this one but at least can twinmotion beat D5 render output???
PS raw filter? not a big problem, TM is just fast... especially if you use direct link
@@sebastianeiselt37 even in photography you want to get the best image from your camera at first place, as close to final result as possible. Tweaking RAW in PS / LR should be just refining the result. (I really appreciate the speed of TM, but adding some GI, HUE and Saturation to scene lighting should not be such a big deal)

THE UE4 BRIDGE AND MEGASCANS STUFFS ARE THE BEST THAT CAN HAPPEN TO TWINMOTION IN THIS NEW RELEASE
It would be great if they managed to implement the Unreal Engine rendering engine in the Twinmonition software !! This would give a bit more realism to our scenes. I hope the developers take it into account, greetings!

Ok, now this makes Twinmotion legit at last.
But the quality is still behind of Lumion....
You have to make a good tutorial on how to get a TM project into UE and how to export images etc. in UE. We never considered UE in our company but if the workflow is good this might be very interesting.

Question: The "Nonrealistic rendering styles" seem to be missing from UI in TM-2021.1 or am I missing something with my installation?
Hey, the rendering styles are only available in full screen mode (F12) and in presenter

No raytraced shadows? 😭 I for one madd a wish for this to happen. Otherwise, seems like a solid update. 👍🏻
Me too. I though twinmotion can make a difference to other Archviz realtimes by putting raytracing (at least for rendered images and animations like hybrid, maybe shadows or reflections only , not viewport) since they already did it great in UE4
Raytracing is listed on their road map under "in progress" so we can assume it will be added
Give it time! They inherited a bit of a mess when they acquired TM, which had passed through multiple development teams. They spent the last year making it stable. Now they can start to progress the software. In the meantime, export to UE4 and you have realtime raytracing.
@@3DArtistree sure I will be in twinmotion team still. Was only hoping to see this as a new feature, since I made a request to add it to next version. But maybe it's coming in future releases. UE unfortunately is too big and complicated program for me to use in work. Twinmotion on the other hand hits that spot 100%. 👌

How do you do a time lapse sunset with reflection cubes and not have the material glow in the dark
