What if you have a 2 or 3 story home that just wants a quote - do you get up on the ladder and measure every line with a tape measure down to the inch? That's a lot of work for one person, or money possibly wasted with 2-3 guys. That would suck to do all that just to lose the quote
No, the original measurements are all taken from the ground with a measuring wheel. Once the measurements are all taken and added up, I always drop the price DOWN to the nearest hundred-dollar increment. This way here, if I'm off by a few inches here and there when rounding to the nearest foot, it always falls back to be in favor of the buyer for pricing in hopes to earn their business.
I had leaf filter gutter guy out here today. He measured around the roof of the house. Our house is 2900 ft. big house one level. He quoted me $11,000 that is killing them installing them installing the heavy duty silicone sealant and all the connections lifetime warranty with 6 inch instead of 45 inch gutters and my choice of color does it seem high anybody?
So that’s about $40 a foot 🧐 a little high . And for leaf filter, you’re better off using a handyman or the kid next door will be cheaper than the damage gutter hard crap is going to cause with water damage yes water damage
That is EXTREMELY HIGH!!! Their "heavy duty silicone" is the same thing that everyone else uses - a product called Geocel 2320... And as far as lifetime warranty for their connections - they're not going anywhere in a lifetime if installed properly... Most companies only warranty for 10 years though because that's what the material suppliers will warranty them for... After 10 years there is a chance you will see fading in the paint - not something that Leaf Filter warranties though if you read the fine print... And if your metal is getting holes in it naturally - you have bigger problems than gutters... Pay a quarter of the price and get them completely replaced in 20 years...

The marketing companies that happen to sell gutters (Leaf Filter and Leaf Guard) still charge over $20 / foot and continue to rob people of their hard-earned money...
