  • Despite promises of reduced emissions, the production of EV batteries exacts a heavy toll on the environment, with extensive fossil fuel mining required. Moreover, EVs face challenges in longevity and repairability, exacerbating concerns about resource depletion and scarcity of skilled mechanics. These issues not only impact car owners but also insurers and repair companies, driving up premiums and contributing to premature vehicle disposal. Join us as we explore the multifaceted challenges of EVs and the need for holistic solutions to achieve sustainable transportation.

Insurance costs has nothing to do with lack of mechanics

It ultamately does. One of the factors insurance premium categories in the UK (and I imagine elsewhere) are based on is repairability/repair costs/spare parts availability. No mechanics = higher repair costs = higher insurance category = higher premiums.

Nobody has been forced to buy an electric vehicle.

Yes, they are being forced. All these government mandates from Epa to government policies is to get people to buy E.V cars.

Sorry lots of false statements in this video.
You don't hear anything from Norway where over 75% of vehicles on the road are EV. no complaints from dealer or Maintenace shops
Most dealers deal with EV's already and they are much much simpler then the gas versions. Tesla's are different as they dont have the dealer network and seem to not support parts sales the same as other manufacturers.
My Hyundai EV for example is very easy to get replacement parts if needed from my local dealer. same with Leafs at Nissan etc.
EV sales are not falling. 2023 was the highest sales of EV's world wide and 2024 will be higher yet again.
I'm not sure what is happening in Britain but there seems to be a glute of false information being spread which is disappointing.
