Breathing of the powder is real problem. And, Do Not breath the dye pot fumes. Wanna teach, just study up on safety. Are people don’t even understand the ionic bonds and are reusing their dye pots for food etc. feeding children from them. Safety is the first thing to be taught, not fun stuff.
All due caution and protection should be taken with any chemical substance, be it a dye or otherwise.
Regarding acid dyes they are possibly the least harmful of the dye family..
