We reviewed the Master Lock Lock Box Bluetooth Wall Mount Key Safe for use with our AirBnB and Turo Rental properties & vehicles. GET THE LOCK: amzn.to/2Y1snna
i know this takes batterys and if its outside in extreme weather it can affect the batteries performance seams like a great product would love to know more about it
The lock is junk. Bosnian Bill shows how if you peel back the front rubber a bit, two Philips screws are all that holds the locking pins in place. It also doesn't notify you if this attack method is used.
Sadly, you can't change it remotely, you have to change it within the vicinity of the device. But you can also get temporary codes, that change based on time scheduling I believe. We've been using that for guests.
I have a quick question. Does the primary code change? or does it stay the same unless i change it? I'm finding the temporary codes a little frustrating. I wish I could have control over how long a code lasts for rather than the times they give.
Hi Janice, the primary (and secondary) codes shouldn't change. You can of course change the codes when you want but they should remain in place until you do so. The temporary codes are based on set time blocks. Which we really like since that allows us to give out codes easily without them being able to use them later.
AdmirD thanks so much! That’s very helpful. I have been using the temporary codes for my Airbnb’s and have been finding it actually quite annoying and end up giving them multiple codes for different times. It is not the smooth operation I was hoping. The secondary codes will work perfect. And i can switch them up as I need. Thanks for your help!
Bosnianbill shows you how in this video and also that this product is CRAP! It has a HUGE exploit failure. It is NOT safe! czcams.com/video/rF0Z97HWhwk/video.html
I just bought one of these to manage access to my vacation rental property. However, I downloaded the app and there doesn't seem to be a way to set temporary access codes for a custom times. For example: If I want a guest's code to work from 3pm on June 1st to 11am on June 5th...is there a way to do that? Am I missing something?
No, sadly its pretty tight. If your key has the remote access buttons on it, then you can only fit one I feel. If its just the metal key then you can fit more than one. Another option is leave the mini key portion of the remote in the box and leave the remote access part in the car.
Thats a good question... especially if you want to revoke someones access. But sadly I don't think you can. The codes created from the app/site seem to be generated without accessing the locks so it must be based on some combination of time and algorithm thats long set in place. imagine it like this... you're not really "creating" temporary codes each time, you're instead asking the system to display you the code for that block of time. Once you share it out, youre unable to revoke it. Hope that makes sense... since it makes sense to me :-)
This is a valid concern JV. We use digital key pad door locks for properties and change the codes often. For vehicles there are not many options to avoid giving out keys. We install security cameras at each location, and encourage the property owners we work with to do the same. For vehicles, we have GPS tracking devices on them. This doesn't stop the chances of someone duplicating the (car) keys but it will help cover us if that happens.
Remove the thin dark rubber cover around the front & combination, 2 phillip screws can be unscrewed to just open the lock, as reviewed by Bosnianbill.....Do not trust a review from someone who attaches their keysafe to a wooden Panel, meaning it can also be quietly removed with a crowbar&quickly cut into with a angle grinder or smashed open with a lump hammer
@@johnmason1239 I'm doing fine with these still in place, no issues and they served their purpose. Rarely is anything 100% foolproof, or John Mason approved. Life goes on boss.
I think someone would just wack it with a hammer brake in to it in a safe place and then just steel the car since your puting car keys in it I don't trust this product at all not safe
Is reaaly safety. 👌 ❤

We're in Texas where we mostly have high heat and humidity. So far its lasted 2 summers without any issues. Our cold is not that bad.
Great Video - of the back of a Shirt and a right hairy arm
I have a face perfect for radio... so kept the camera directly on what mattered. Thanks for watching though.
Cool
If you remove the thin rubber cover just above the combination, there are 2 phillip screws that can be unscrewed to just... open the lock up.
You forgot to give credit to Bosnianbill for that information: czcams.com/video/rF0Z97HWhwk/video.html
Good video!. Can you connect to your home wifi to be able to generate access codes from another city? or only bluetooth access seizures are generated
2024 here, still no wi-fi…
Now its tricky to jumpstart when the battery is empty. But nice video
Hello do you know if they have activated the wifi service?

Yes, I saw that video, which is why I'm reluctant to install one at home...

How do you open it if the battery dies
Can this be installed to brick?
I wouldn't see why not, just have to make sure you have the right tools and accessories (masonry bits and anchors). Let us know how it works out.
Can we change the codes from 300km away or do I need to be right next to it to use the bluetooth function?
Sadly, you can't change it remotely, you have to change it within the vicinity of the device. But you can also get temporary codes, that change based on time scheduling I believe. We've been using that for guests.
Hi any Wifi Locks available on the market now ? Thank you

how do u open when batterys go bad
Thats a great question... should be something someone mentions before it actually happens. I'll be looking into it, might report back.

Is it possible to keep 2 coopers keys in it?

Does this one have the same problem when you remove the faceplate and unscrew the 2 Philips screws it totally comes open?
from the look , it might have the same design (issue)
What happens when or before the batteries are empty?
there is 2 contacts point underneath the box, you jump power it with a 9v battery
@@papercut1987 thx!
Is there any way to cancel a temporary code?

What are the odds of someone getting the airbnb key and making a copy of it while staying?
This is a valid concern JV. We use digital key pad door locks for properties and change the codes often. For vehicles there are not many options to avoid giving out keys. You would must to pay for a camarographer man

Well you're a Debbie Downer... but thanks for the feedback.
hard to think you fitted these for anything of value, just video. If real it’s a bojus for any thief
Thanks for your video, If Iam a Debbie downer pal, what are you??

Ok can you afford to be robbed or rely on insurance& arent as vulnerable as many who buy these
I think someone would just wack it with a hammer brake in to it in a safe place and then just steel the car since your puting car keys in it I don't trust this product at all not safe
Yea thats very possible... but the benefits out weight the risks of that happening...
Can be easily opened by unscrewing two screws : see czcams.com/video/umZ0bbs1EeQ/video.html
Do not buy this do not trust it
Why is that? I was just about to order one!
