Absolutely brillant, brilliant and simple when you suddenly realise that you can stop the narrative or the movie going in your head and just say that you are enough as you are and stay there in the present moment and just smile when you realize this.
That particular smile is the best feeling in the world 😊

We have been hypnotized by the society, we look at things thru filters or preconceived thoughts, in fact our response to anything is always a judgement based on our past or future imagination. Pure presence without any narrative is essential.

When people experience anciety or depression, is only when the focus is on the negative. Should that very same person give thanks for the now (like health, the fact that you can see and hear, walk, parents, family etc) there will be no more depression. We can walk and watch nature or animal life (even if its on yt). Nothing will change we change.
Sitting on the patio with a hot sun on my neck, eating watermelon, listening to ET...life is good. 🥰

Eckharts presence can literally be felt through the screen. I always feel way more peaceful and present while watching him.
At the moment the music started to swell I was distributing parsley to several guinea pigs I keep that I accepted from people who did not want them. I was petting Ronnies head and there was no greater joy possible. It was almost hard to breathe. Eckhart is a treasure for all humanity.
This just connected the final piece for me! Thank you so much for allowing this to be free to anyone who seeks it. You are an inspiration and I really appreciate you sharing your experience.
At a deep level I always knew that I was never the kind of guy of talking bs about other people on parties. It always made me feel very uncomfortable nagging or imagining stories about other people but I never really knew quite why. One label was that it is unfair to talk badly about people. The more accurate one would be that all the stories you imagine around a person never reflects who they truly are. If you would realize who you and everyone around you truly are there would be not much talking anymore.
How blessed we are to be able to listen to this man and his wisdom. I am so thankful to have found him. I found his Power of Now book in Second hand shop. It truly is a life changer. .

Haha, it's okay, your children already have the best mom (or dad) on Earth ! Just don't get too stressed out about ending the narrative. It's gonna happen naturally as you meditate and as you let your mind take the new habit of becoming more calm !

We love narrative. Human beings construct narratives to inspire us to survive and live. It's very important. Personal narratives are very important to the individual. They give a deep meaning to the individual's existence. However, there are serious negatives to narratives and Eckhart Tolle explains it well.
I would love to have you show this with a real conversation with another. Like when a person comes up to the mic, actively and in the moment let us know what’s happening, with you and have the other person share their experience as well. That would be so rich and helpful. Your teachings are rich and helpful and hands on would be great!

This is ancient nondual teaching, finding its way to mainstream popular culture. Makes me feel hopeful for us as a species. Like we are going to really get it right someday.
The most dangerous part of ego step in when you understand all this enlightened messages, and you think you are better than others. I think Yung called it inflation. The second dangerous aspect is that you become addicted to such messages. After crossing the river you still want to hold a boat on your head. Every day should start with Eckhart or Watts or Osho message...So attachment...

When Eckhart says “find the stillness within”, is it normal to go through turbulence before you reach that? I find myself even more anxious when I sit down to meditate and it’s been a real deterrent for me.
It is completely normal! Feeling your inner body can be so uncomfortable when you also have so many emotions within- it just takes time :)
You’re not alone, and that’s okay. Sometimes meditation is practice especially when trying to quiet the noise around and within you. The best advice I have for that is, just breathe and when your mind wanders or distractions occur, just focus back on the breathing.
You can do it!
Ego does not like it and will play every trick in the book to start with. Just stay with the turbulence and allow it to play itself out. Accept it but don't run away from it. Putting attention on the breath can be helpful. Label thoughts as 'thinking' and keep coming back to awareness of the breath, the body breathing.

What we are, ultimately, is nothing other than the Extension of Love. God created us through Extending Love to us, and we Know Ourselves, and Know God, by continuing the Activity of God of Extending Love. Love cannot possibly 'stop' with us. Only by Its extension can it be what it is.
None of the narratives were there, when first we were. And so there is no truth or substance to them. All there is is God's Extension of Love to Us, and Our continuing the Process. Extend what has been extended to us, and thereby connect to God by imitating/continuing God's Process.
