BDO Sangoon Guide - Boss Mechanics explained - Land of the Morning Light - Boss Blitz

In this episode of our Black Desert Online Boss Mechanics Explained series (6 of 9), we're taking a deep dive into the combat strategies for one of the game's toughest foes, Sangoon.
Get ready to master every trick up his sleeve!
The guide begins with a breakdown of what happens at the start of the fight: Sangoon's ranged roar attack. Although this attack can reduce your health to 30% instantly, we provide you with strategies to recover swiftly and advice on when to best use your Emergency Escape.
Next, we delve into Sangoon's unique move where he disappears and reappears, glowing yellow. This section covers how to effectively use a Stiffness/Stun CC to capitalize on this mechanic for some free attacks and avoid getting hit by his buffed damage.
We then discuss the changes in Sangoon's attack patterns as his health declines to 80% and 70%, covering the knockdown CC effects and a high-damage red AOE circle. The video contains advice on how to predict his moves and how to best handle his damaging area attacks.
Once Sangoon hits 50% health, we guide you through the new terrain as rocks fall into the room, advising you on the best location to continue the fight and how to use the room's rocks for cover from his lethal abilities.
The challenge increases when Sangoon reaches 35% HP, as falling rocks start to populate the outskirts of the boss room. We provide strategies for surviving these high-damage rocks and tips on dodging his targeted attacks in the center of the room.
Finally, at 15-20% HP, Sangoon moves to the center of the room and commences a series of large AOE attacks. This section provides essential tips on avoiding these attacks while delivering damage when it's safe. You'll have around 40-50 seconds to defeat Sangoon, and we'll be there every step of the way to help you achieve victory!

He does a 1 shot ability at around 35% hp and there is nothing in this guide about it

Do you mean the rocks falling from the ceiling?

@@CriticalPerformance No there was one where he says "I will kill you with my claws" or something to that affect, and a red circle covers 90% of the arena, and it 1 shots you if caught in it

@@CriticalPerformance Honestly it's kinda rare and I've only seen it like 3-4 times in the like 20+ times I've fought this guy. But yea, there's a random AoE that 1-shots and no guides talk about it. Maybe there's a timer on this boss or maybe he just decides to do the 50% hp mechanic a second time for funzies without giving you rocks to hide behind.

any idea why i'm permanetly slowed during this fight in any calamity level?
i got the kill at cala5 this way, fighting like i was with 100%+ weigth

When this message appears "You feel a chill down your spine" you should dodge the following AoE. It deals not too much damage but it applies this debuff :)
If you stun the boss at this attack he will also loose 1 of his buffs (first DP then AP buff) :)

Any idea why when he does the one shot all the rocks are in the air? Impossible battle..probably farmed too many developers on my warrior.

You just have to stay on him and damage him when that occurs. He will stop the one shot ability if kept in combat.

Boss just 1 shots you, unavoidable, even at calamity 2 the fight is impossible. Calamity 1 I killed him in like 3 hits, everything above that he kills you in 1 hit.
