Genya, on the other hand, simply crumbles into ash and there is no evidence that he ever existed. The brothers have less than a minute. Less than a minute for Sanemi to repent to his brother for decades of unjustified cruelty. So many years of forced protection and humiliation, and yet Genya still calls him the most wonderful man in the world. Sanemi is left to weep, because strength is powerless, because he has been scowling in vain all this time, because his brother, his sweet, good-hearted brother, is inevitably dead. And as I said, the fight is on. Sanemi is obliged to get up, pull himself together, and go on fighting after his own brother's death. Even the view at the time of Rengoku and Genya's death.
