Outdoor Adventures begin! Join us on our premier outing and let us introduce you to ROGer. (That is what we have named our ROG Adventure Trailer by Encore.) Thanks to Jay @UnchartedRecreation.
I looked at the standard ROG. I really, really liked it, well designed and well equipped. Unfortunatley I had a terrible dealer who wanted to screw me on the price and financing ($1000 more if I paid cash). My only concern, besides a no name brand awning that didnt get good reviews, was its a brand new company and this is the first model year. Ended up in a Tag.
@@bearandfoxden I was super impressed with the design and functions. I especially that it had a propane heater. It was too bad the dealer was such an idiot. I wish you all the luck and happy trips with yours.
The awnings are fine. Nothing special. Watch out for lots of wind. Also you may want to locktight the bolts in place on the ends of the supports. They will fall out or into the tube and then the real wor begins. A/c works with 110 plug on a generator or shore power.
As this video is a year old, hoping you will see this...I've been looking at this unit and was wondering if you've had any issues/annoyances with the mattress blocking the battery shutoff/driver-side porch light switch/intake vent? Thanks!
We really haven't had any issues. The one thing is that with the CO alarm being next to the bed, I have accidentally pushed the test button a couple of times. It's loud! Everything else works well. I will be doing a walk through on the trailer and getting it ready to go play I a couple of months. You will see a couple of things we have done to make it work for us.

Our biggest thing has been the rear porch light needs to be replaced. Just waiting for the part to come in and then it won't be a problem. Just like everything else out there, shipping and inventory delays. Everything else has been great so far. Going out for another long weekend this week.
Question on the water port is that water heated or could it be heated for showering? Or is it only the rear sink thats heated ? Been looking at these campers a lot lately and the only thing my lady requires is a shower, whether it be inside or out but needs warms water capability. I’m looking for a camper with factory showers so I don’t have to custom make and screw up a nice trailer.
Thanks for the view and question. To that, it doesn't come with heated water. The water port works well to spray off gear or as a shower but it is just cold water. I believe you could have it retro-fit for an on-demand water heater that would just fit under the sink. But it would also take more LP or more juice off the power system.
How do you like the ROG so far? Going to look at one this weekend. Couldn't tell from the video but do you drive a Canyon/Colorado? I have a Ridgeline and was worried about drag with hauling it.
We LOVE it!! Yes I drive a All Terrain Canyon and the truck can tow like a champ. I don't know any specs on the Ridgeline but at just about 1500 lbs the ROG is noting to tow.
1500 lbs is sweet, I could tow this with my CJ, is that dry weight? Have you considered solar or are you recharging your batteries with the truck? I think I would swap out the awnings for a 23zero 270 with side walls.
@@christopherlaboy1857 we picked ours up and have used it a few times. Dry weight is about 1900lbs. The stock awnings that come on the roof rack aren't the greatest. Would definitely do the 270 myself. Looking at picking up two panels once we add another battery to the system
We are looking at adding solar and more batteries and adding the 270 as well so we have more walk around room in bad weather. Added kayak racks and went out and that was awesome!
Hi! Hope you're doing well. I have rog 12bh 2023. Just wondering if you have easy access on your water pump? Can you make video Just incase you open it?
We are doing well. Busy summer but planning our next outing soon. I do have access to the pump and thanks for the request on that. I will work on making that and get it up for you. Thanks for watching!
we just got a 2022 colorado redline edition, 2wheel drive, 7000lbs tow rating, tow package, v6, 940 miles on it, brought it home june 30th, we like your camper,
@@bearandfoxden i'm still getting used to it, traded in my 2016 silverado z71 off road edition for it, kept having transmission issues, had it for almost 6 years, got it new in oct 2016, only used the 4x4 once, so, not having the 4x4 is not an issue, it's the size mostly that i miss, wife loves the gas milage 😁, we have a 6x14 cargo trailer we have made into a home made camper, we use it to haul our can-am atv at times too, anyway, GOD bless you guys, stay safe, thank-you for replying back
Hey no problem! I haven't run into anything that my truck can't do yet. The cargo trailer would be great for that kind of thing! Hope you enjoy it and have fun in the woods.
There is a closet inside to put boots or clothing or what ever you want. Also it is awesome in bad weather! if you watch the latest video you can see we had lots of bad weather.
Hey, what year is your canyon and is it 4x4? I have a 2022 Colorado redline edition with tow package, 2wd, I am really liking it, and we are looking at the rog 14 th2
@bearandfoxden cool, I had a 2016 Silverado z71 off road, got it new October 2016, but I kept having transmission issues, I miss the 4x4 , but we only needed it once, mine has the auto locking rear, 7000 lbs towing, gloss black
@bearandfoxden and, that v6 is a good engine, oil filter is a pain to remove and such, but I really am liking it, no start stop or cylinder deactivation, my Silverado had that cylinder deactivation crap, that was part of the problem, it kept trying to shift while the cylinders were shutting down and re opening, really bad idea

Picking up 12bh this week! Excited! Any compaints with slideout awnings? Does ac with 110 plug adaptor?

What has been your biggest complaint/ issue with the build! We looked at one today with multiple (fixable) issues.
