Other versions start by removing the 1s, 2s, and 3s and have the rook valued as the highest trump.
You're the only one who plays the game how i remember most people take out the 1s 2s and 3s some people dont even play with a Rook card like wtf. Thank-you for the refresher

oh ya in previous of course you have to follow suit..
oh yes you can play 7 players ..or 8... but it involves the 2s...3,s and or 4,s
My Rook deck has no point value on the ones. Is this a house rule?

Cannot see what’s happening. That exposure is crazy
I have played double deck no 2,s..3,s..or 4,s ...the 1,s are high 14,s..13,s..on down..the 2 rooks are in between the trump 10,s and 11,s....same points for all cards but the 1,s are worth 15..points...total game per hand points are 360...bid for trump...if high win bid..call trump...then call card for a partner..if 4 players...usually a 1 or 14.of trump...more like cutthroat ...the high card that plays first beets the same card in each play..if no trump..or if trump the first high trump wins... play to 1000..or whatever agreed..the player to left of winner bids plays first....player who wins starts next hand...I forget how many in kity...because it varies on how many players..up to six...if more than 4 ...you call for two partners ...ie ...14 of trump and maybe an off trump 1...
