Yeah, almost. Considering the fact people became physically violent over toilet paper, an apocalypse on a more catastrophic scale would truly bring out the worst in people. I think the pandemic has given us a really good but also terrifying glimpse of the sheer ignorance and unnecessary violence people are capable of, even over the most minuscule things, once they are concerned about their own survival and their ideas of freedom.
@@sssoooyyybooyyy No, it really isn't. It's bad don't get me wrong but compared to some bugs that have been presented in fiction this virus is relatively manageable.

It’s based on a real virus called cordyceps and it is airborne and when you bite people they also get infected, and when the infected people die they spread spores. The virus is only for ants though lmao so we’re fine, but the ants infected with this do the same things as the infected in the game

The very first days of the coronavirus, as soon as we knew it was an epidemic (not a pandemic yet) this is the first thought that came to my mind. When it turned to a pandemic my thoughts were "holy crap if covid was a zombie virus, the last of us would've happened in real life."

The first couple of months when covid really hit, especially in the UK, was surreal. I remember driving to and from work and the roads and streets being empty along with the one in one out policy that supermarkets had. And the news everyday telling you how many have died and how fast the infection was spreading. At the time it did genuinely look like a government falling situation.

I met this video game in the 4th moth of the pandemic. I felt it was made for me, I felt almost as if it told my story and was fascinated that everyone else must have felt that way too. I remember thinking “no way this is 7 years old, it must have launched recently”

@@LostGamer2019 I'm slowly getting better and improving, for a year I thought I could handle it on my own without counseling, but I needed the right counseling I can afford for a reasonable price and get better. College forced me to continue working at the massage clinic to get the credits I needed but I am still afraid of spreading it to my dad who is vulnerable from getting sick from his permanent illness in his lungs and Bypass Heart Surgery. Even getting infected recently this past month still makes me scared to this dau

My mom was a nurse who survived (literally) during the peak of pandemic, i remember her comming back from the hospital, closing the door and just crying, over and over, everyday after work. This took a month, than she started to get a little bit colder (she has to) but the feeling that she could go and never comeback was terrifing and i couldn't do anyting. This video kinda remminded me this feeling

It's weird cause in all these shows and games and books and whatevers about this kind of world changing event we are all like "wow, imagine living through such a thing" but the thing is WE JUST DID! When Joel n' Ellie have that conversation right before the giraffe scene about how crazy it must be to watch people you love die and the world drastically changing - how many people actually lived this exact situation? It's insane! I mean, I got COVID and I was stuck in my room for days, and I remember how big of an event it was when my great grandparents got vaccinated - all of this in Brazil, where our president said vaccines would turn people in alligators (not even fiction could create such a scenario)!

Amazing work!!! When COVID hit the U.S. in my area (March 2020) I was working at Walmart and half the world came rushing in, the shelves and the entire back room was cleared out in less than 1 hour!! This video reminds me so much of the widespread panic we had here and the rest of the world, nice work!!!
You need another version with footage from news reports about government reactions, people clashing with police and so on, to make it seem more apocalyptic ;)

The night I finished The Last Of Us, I sat in my balcony for some time, enjoying the breeze. When I went back to my parents watching TV, our Prime Minister was announcing the countrywide Lockdown (India).

This video reminded me the fear I lived through during the pandemic. Home a lot. So much peace and quiet can drive one mad in isolation. The need to be with others and know you’re not alone was something I begged for. Missing out so many opportunities and watching time go by felt like horror. Almost 3 years ago and recovery was successful, many others weren’t

I was in the front lines of this pandemic.
The hospitals were as bad as the news said.
We were as burned out as we said.
There was as much sadness as was shown.
It was a test in mental fortitude.
I lost family. I had Thanksgiving and Christmas in isolation.
I’m happy that it’s over.
