  • The EFF has been vocal in its calls for land reform. The party's agenda has been very clear - expropriation of land without compensation. The EFF briefed the media, alongside Contralesa, on a number of issues today. Here is the EFF Leader Julius Malema...

      To the jealous and uneducated, any way to make others and ourselves worse off is justified. People still have rights in South Africa, any expropriations will destroy trust in its economy and there WILL be greater poverty.

    Zimbabwe did not starve because they had no skills or farming equipment, they starved because the white world (UK investors) stood up against them and they got sanctions . South Africa is a capitalist country so we have investors from everywhere. If this matter is handled properly and legally we shouldn't have any problem with sanctions. The farming part the government will handle that .. not the ANC government which is incapable of running state owned enterprises

      Yes, only if he could figure out a system unlike this election system which is a Hoax. There is no real Democratic system that works, it's another lie. Malema must not follow their model. Satan is deceptive everything they do and teach us is a lie, you know that. I like this young man and pray that they can't ever buy him for money or have him sell his soul. Malema, has to be strong, wise, and not bargain with them. He won't be able to fight them by himself, he doesn't need men sitting, watching him, making comments and just praising him, he needs help and support. not just mouth support.

      A true story in Russia.
      A social experiment was done of a white girl bringing home a black boyfriend. The girls parents not seeing that the girl had a hidden camera begged her to reconsider her relationship with this negro.
      (Apparently in the Russian Federation black people are still called Negroes, even on dating sites under "race" for black man & woman, they have "Negro", and its normal).
      My question to this social experiment was, they have never met this black guy before, but they were already fighting the girl about the relationship. Was being black his sin??
      If we as black people are to be considered equals on the world stage, we need to LOVE OURSELVES FIRST. Be racist for that matter in order for us to be recognized as a well established black society.
      I remember when I first left for my studies abroad, my mother said to me I must come back with a white girlfriend. To this day I've made sure that I get a girlfriend from my own people (black).
      I don't blame my mother for what she said, she was raised, back then, in a society were they were degraded and made to believe that being white was a privilege (not in Africa) and mixing with white people gave them some sort of relief, hope, freedom etc.
      Forward with Malema. I know we will suffer for making the right choice of having Africa ruled by Africans. But if we are to be an important nation (the people of Africa), we must suffer.
      Our biggest problem though is corruption. Corruption is robbing us our dignity, peace and prosperity.
      #Love
      #LoveAgain

    Invite the farmers to help in the expropriation of land without compensation conversation; expropriation will have to happen one way or the other. For starters, the government should nationalize all the land in south Africa but leave it under the custody of the the present owners(black or white) for the time being. As the government crafts way forward, Subsidize the farmers so that food is affordable to everyone now.

      Yeah let them do exactly what Zimbabwe did, great idea. Have the government take the land and assume the $10,000,000,000 USD that the farmers still OWE on the land to the banks. SO the government now forces a $10,000,000,000 default on the banks/investors and hands over industrial farm land to people that don't understand the complexities of Industrial farming. Bye bye investors and food. So yes, they will starve just like Zimbabwe. Insanity is doing the same thing expecting different results "Albert Einstein".

      Rwanda is a country of few natural resources,[132] and the economy is based mostly on subsistence agriculture by local farmers using simple tools.[166] An estimated 90% of the working population farms, and agriculture constituted an estimated 32.5% of GDP in 2014.[60] Farming techniques are basic, with small plots of land and steep slopes.[167] Since the mid-1980s, farm sizes and food production have been decreasing, due in part to the resettlement of displaced people.[168][132] Despite Rwanda's fertile ecosystem, food production often does not keep pace with population growth, and food imports are required

      Katlego Motlhabane The fact that your logic is working the wrong way around makes you to think that there is nothing wrong will stealing. We all know blacks dont live by the 10 commandments so they dont mind breaking the law. In fact the very fact that you are pushing to change the law means you are unable to live by it. No respect for the REAL lawless gangsters. You guys. You think by saying Jan van Riebeeck is a gangster that it will become fact? Haha! You mediocre words wont change history, history says you were conquered and thats it. How can a conquered people think they are so powerfull. Words are words and deeds are deeds. In 25years i have not seen a black township transform into a superpower. It will never happen. Criminals only give birth to criminal children. Things will only go down hill if this great sin gets passed. It will be the greatest self rightious theft of the 21st century. All of you that fight for land never had any, and once you see that it takes work to produce more than you consume then you will miss us. When your children are hungry and dying, then there will be no such thing as "Asseblief ou baas, net n bietjie pap asseblief." No youll see how stupid your arguement about the land actually is. Go blame your forefathers for not being first on the land. The Zulus wiped out an entire reagion and we occupied it after Piet Retief purchased the land, him and his men were disarmed and killed. How is that for justice. Maybe farmers should do things like blacks, then we will see what you think of your own justice. Twisted.

To me two wrongs dont make it right, and personally I dont think the zulu king will be happy with losing there land, it will cause war. There are 18 million black rural South Africans who live on 17 million hectares of black tribal land, which means that there are more black South Africans living on rural land than the total white population of South Africa put together. All black South Africans have land, but they are not allowed to own it because of the tribal land system. Except for the Zulus, all black tribal land is owned by government. So what is the point of farmland expropriation - All that it will do is put more and more farmland in the hands of government - Government does not give title to the land to the black people. No, government only leases it to black people, which is really nothing but the nationalization of farmland and at the end of the day we still have not resolved the land question, just as you have in Zimbabwe? So, the whole land expropriation is just a farce. People don't need land - People need jobs and here the government has been very successful at expropriating jobs from the whites through a process called affirmative action.

  • @Alwynbear
    @Alwynbear Před 6 lety +3

    Julius, in answer to the question who will finance infrastructure and equipment if the state will be able to simply reallocate occupancy of any and all land in South Africa at their discretion, as you described in the final minutes of this video, your answer must surely be that the Government will nationalise the banks. In the absence of that, finance will not be possible. You have argued in parliament for the nationalisation of banks before. EWC as you propose will weaken the banking system to such extent that nationalisation thereof will likely be possible. The argument must than be that if Government finance infrastructure and equipment they take ownership of those assets as well and may therefore install whomever they deem appropriate in control of such land, infrastructure and assets, yes?
    Are we as South Africans sure that South Africa is ready to do away with a capitalistic and ultimately democratic system? Capital and the impoverished masses will surely be at odds on this question. There has, to my knowledge, never been a transfer of a capitalistic system to a communistic regime in the absence of conflict? Perhaps South Africa could be the first? At the present course time will surely be afforded the opportunity to tell.

    • @Alwynbear
      @Alwynbear Před 6 lety +2

      Kagiso, do you think you represent the majority of African People? I do by the way. I think that the majority of African people probably support communism over capitalism and democracy. And why not? You can probably not be worse off under communist rule, at least not if you are amongst those living in poverty. If you have any ambitions leaning towards freedom of thought and the ability to achieve financial elevation you might consider that a capitalistic democratic society offer more possibilities for achieving those.
      The question is if you would have felt the same if there were no white people in South Africa. Under the current system there would still be a massive divide between the have's and the have not's. If all white people could be removed from the country, leaving their assets, their land, jobs and businesses for the taking would your position be different? There are about 2.5m white South African households representing a total of 4.5m people and probably around 1.8m job and business opportunities. How will the assets and wealth of these people be distributed by government if we all just up and left the country?

    No matter the skin color everyone should be treated fairly and just. Land expropriation explicitly takes away land white citizens own. Furthermore people who pay taxes and obey the law should not have to sacrifice their land just because of their ancestors' mistakes. I see racism bluntly staring everyone in the face and yet maybe, just maybe if black citizens were to stop whining about the past and focus on the future there wouldn't be a need to compensate for them. Finally I conclude by saying this: If the economy were to crash because of ill-educated farmers and lack of investments from other worldly powers, what's next? Re-expropriate the land to white farmers? The hipocracy remains.
