KuneKune Piglets & Why We Chose Them For Our Farm!

- Welcome to the farm, sweet piggies! 🐷
We previously raised a Berkshire cross for pork and decided to go with KuneKunes this time for a few reasons...
• Their turned up snout limits the amount of rooting they do, which is better for your land!
• They are slow growing (around 18 months before you can butcher) and don't eat near as much as other pig breeds. They actually prefer a more foraged diet of grass and hay vs. grain. They are the only true grazing pig that can thrive on grass alone.
• They are considered the "waygu beef" of pork (I know, sad to think about because they're so cute!) 🥩
• They are very docile, good with kids, and don't test fencing like other pigs usually do 😜
Now... these little guys need names! Give me some name suggestions in the comments. 🧡

Aww they are such cuties ❤
Probably the cutest little pigs ever!
They are for sure. Our previous pigs (berkshire cross) were cute when they were piglets, but not near to this level! 😂
Cute and delicious
Our first time raising them, we sure hope so! I've heard great things about their meat.
@@littleiowafarmlady, dear respected lady, in Islam; it is haram to eat pig meat. And Islam is truth of existence. please come to Islam. Only Islam is the trve wisdom and is the ultimate solution to humanity's problems. Please never believe in what ye see in English and American media 'bout Islam and Muslims and Turks.
Hey! I'm a 16 year old girl who's lived in town my whole life... and I can't wait to homestead the minute I move out😄. I just discovered your videos and I LOVE them😊. I hope it isn't too late for Kune Kune(I love this breed because they are a lot like IPPs) name suggestions! I know you are supposed to give feeder animals names that remind you what their purpose is however I thought that these names were so sweet: Red and Rugby!
Upload cow milking video 🙏🙏🙏❤❤
You are going to eat them???!!??
Unfortunately, yes. It will be super hard as you raise them a lot longer than a traditional feeder pig, and I know we will be attached. Eventually, we may have some as "pets" that will be used for breeding, but that would be their role. Everything on our farm serves a purpose. 🩵
