  • Sometime flipping furniture you come across a really pretty carving or moulding that you would just love to have on another piece. Amazing mold putty is the way to go.
It can also be used where you have damage to those mouldings and by making a copy you can piece in any repairs.

Silicone and corn starch also works for making molds.

I've used those for small molds before they do work, never worked as well on large molds for me though sadly.

That is a fun idea. I just wish it would take stain. Did you see Sabrina make a mold of a
part of a leg to repair another leg with hot glue. I have done this also with plaster of paris in the mold.

They don't take stain sadly but you can put color, glitter, etc in the resin liquid.

I love adding glitter to resin - In the past i've done some really big kitchen counter tops with epoxy glitter and spray paint. So much fun!

I've not seen that video but i will hunt it down. I am not a big hot glue fan - i might do something with plaster of paris soon. Its a really good economical product when your doing a lot of casting, Anthropologie dupe style.

If it is a wood finish I would say no it will not ruin the piece it should be fine.
