    Thanks for the video Leigh.
It’s always more enjoyable watching a route that you’re familiar with. The Masham to Lofthouse road is a regular ride for me on my 350 Classic. A buttie at the Bordar Tea rooms in Masham and a natter with with some like minded bike riders.
Doesn’t get much better than that. And summer is yet to come. Keep riding🙂🏍👍

Thanks. It's a fantastic area for motorcycling ...and I have a few more trips planned exploring the area and further afield (if it ever stops raining). Take care 👍

Same bike as mine! I am a new rider but do you find you get a bit achy after an hour or so and need a break?

Hello, I don't find it too bad after an hour but often stop every now and then on a longer rides of 2-5 hours anyway (food, fuel, veiws or visting something). I think I get more aches and pains driving my car or sitting in an arm chair for an hour or so but that's more of an age thing. Also I think it does take a little while to get accustomed to riding, whether completely new to it or even riding different motorbikes. Plus I used to (and occasionally still do) ride pushbikes for hours, so the classic 350 with it's generous seat and suspension is a bit of a luxury.

I come from a cycling background too and can ride a push bike for a couple of hours with no issues but the C350 has me feeling pretty sore across the shoulders after an hour or so. It must be because I'm new to it, much more weight than a push bike, I obviously need more practice! Thanks for the videos though, I will keep watching 👍

Nice video, what kind of speeds are you getting to? Thanks

    • @leighcoulson2148

Thanks. Not going particularly fast, on the twisty narrow roads generally 40 to 45 mph, on the faster sections normally around 50 mph, occasionally 55 plus. It would go quicker but the motor feels happiest just under the 50 mark. It does make you relax and enjoy the scenery at a more leisurely pace.

Evening, can i ask what type of pannier you are riding with? Interested in one for my Scram 411. Thanks in advance.

Hello, I purchased it via ebay from r0yal-parts, an indian seller (for £61.57). It came as a single sided mount and pannier (There's quite a number of other sellers with this item to browse through). It's canvas with waterproof lining but as far as I know, is specific to the classic 350 (often labelled as a Military Pannier). I'm not sure if there is an equivalent for the Scram 411 ...I haven't seen one in my searches but haven't really looked. The pannier may still may fit though ...they have a pocket on the inner side which goes over the pannier frame and two straps to secure it.

I suppose it's different for everybody but I have no issues with it ...however I also cycle a lot too and that's on a hard thin seat with no suspension, so the classic 350 is luxury compared to that.
