As a bilingual Japanese American, I believe this English cover is perfection. The translated lyrics and the tenor voice close to the original band vocalist both are really hard to prepare.

Update: Reading all these replies is so heart-warming; It brings some wonderful memories back to me that I really do cherish. I do struggle to listen to this anymore, as unfortunately me and Amelia are no longer together. I have decided to provide this update mainly to stop any sort of reply chains that may bring any negative memories for either me or her. From the both of us however, we'd love to thank you. We used to read and talk about these comments all the time and it brought us so many smiles; you are all absolutely wonderful. Sometimes things don't work out as you'd like or expect them too, through faults entirely of your own or matters outside of yourselves you can't control. I wish the absolute best for Amelia, in all her future aspirations and accomplishments; I have never been more confident in one person following what they believe and achieving it (She's gonna be one hell of a lawyer guys, Better call Ames for real haha). For everyone who reads this post either to look back, or are just finding it now, do not give up on your special someone and fight for it even if it does seem pointless. Sometimes it won't work out and that is okay, but you'll always regret it more if you never tried at all. I hope at least one of you can find value in this beautiful cover, to have it as a song between you and someone special and maybe even use it as your first dance. Thank you to Will Stetson for creating a gorgeous cover that brought two silly young souls together and for the many more I know he will continue to bring together. Thank you to all of you for your comments and wishes, I would have invited every single one of you and couldn't be happier to have you all here for your kindness and support. You know, I never googled the lyrics to comedy before, just because I loved the song so much, i felt like i didn't need to really google it. But after listening to this cover, I realized how much I had missed out just by not looking up the lyrics. "Dinner's waiting, c'mon let's go" hit me the most, it's such a home-y line. I guess it reminded me of when I was in college, and I barely had time to eat because I was working so much (school, internship, work, there were times I didn't get home until 3am), I would occasionally get a call from a friend (who lived on campus) to invite me over to dinner. Or, if I would head over to a friend's apartment after classes, and mentioned I was hungry, she would microwave my food for me . Or, at my job, they would make me a free dinner. Such a simple line to bring back so many memories for me, haha. But during that time in college, when I couldn't see my real family for so long because I was busy working, I had the people around me that took care of me TToTT
Thats heartwarming to hear. I had none of it, had always do everything myself, which isnt a bad thing but.. that feeling when you come home, to a loving partner giving you a hug, warm dinner, and cuddles.. thats a delight after a stressful day of work

Listening to this cover has given me such a comfort to the point of almost tears. I have no idea why or how. I was just doing my assignment and thought it was such a nice song to vibe to while working. Then after a 3 loops, my body felt so light and calm that I just wanted to cry happily.
