I’d read the hell out of that book, these are the types of stories ,cool adventures and people my dad loves to tell me about. Unfortunately he was never able to show me because of Multiple Sclerosis taking his ability to walk and use his hands effectively. I so yearn to have money to take him on what adventures I could and learn what I can in person instead of by stories. But we gotta Keep on Truckin’ 🤙

The west coast lobsters are not even close to a true lobster like the Nova Scotian
Lifelong Mainer. in my opinion Maine Lobster is the REAL deal. Nova Scotian Lobsters are good but the ones a little south in Maine are better. But there is no comparison when it comes to Maine/CAN lobsters being far better than west coast lobs. Whoever told Mav west ones are better clearly never had an East lob lol. Places over seas pay big money for Maine lobsters.
This is super cool man. These guys trusted you and accepted you onto their boat AND took the time to teach you how they do their job. That take's extra time out of their day and the fact that they were so kind is really incredible and heart warming. Thank you for going out in the world and sharing your experience.

When you were having that nice dinner together, that made me think of me and my grandfather after my grandmother had just died... me and him always had dinner together at the weekends and as soon as i had the time in the weeks we sat down and ate. He was so appreciative about it and used to thank me for coming always even though i always wanted to do that, i didnt grow up with a father so he was my dad in many ways, he was my role model. Thats the same look that man had he was enjoying your company Mav he appreciated the time just as much as you did. Damn... R.i.p grandpa❤

I am halfway across the world right now in Bangkok Thailand for study abroad and I am from New Hampshire and I wasn't able to be there for his last moments. So sick! I’m about a month in on my first season in Maine on a lobster boat! Still a little slow here but it’s picking up each day.
I live in Santa Barbara, CA. We have the spiny lobsters here and I used to work on the wharf here. Local lobster has a different taste than East coast or where you are. They are sweeter there, but still good. The season is from October through March. If you are here during one of your trips, I can hook you up with some great seafood. It's best to do a quick kill, split from the head down. Steaming is best, so they don't curl up fast and the flesh is not so tough.
I agree. The spiny lobster and Maine lobster taste different. Personal preference, I like the Maine lobster.
You are blessed to find so many great people in the road, especially in the times that we live in today. Love watching your vlogs, maybe one day after my kids are grown and wife and I are alone, maybe we could travel to different places like you do. Keep up the great vlogs, and be safe out there.
