Absolutely superb and judging by the t-shirt, you have a great taste in music as well. Really enjoying this build. Thank you.
Very nice work on the color modulation. I know what you mean about concentration. When I'm modeling I talk to no one, other than myself.😀
*What a huge work on preshading, i don't i'll have such patience! Very good result!*
Thanks, it is a pretty big model and it would look dull if those large plain surfaces were left without such panel work IMO.
You've definitely inspired me Metodi. I'm grabbing me a B-26K and will be using your videos as a guide. Thanks !
I’d have a hard time talking coherently while trying to build as well, so bravo on that. Paint work looked grueling in the pre shade phase, but end result certainly has a wow factor.
I am learning what it takes to put out really great work. Your patience is amazing.
Thanks for uploading this, I found it very useful and enjoyable. I never have the nerve to fully commit to a model like you have. I always end up just painting models with a few bits if very of slight color fading ect., I guess I don't want to spoil the models by going too far so my models always look fresh off the production line
The liquid mask chipping is a great idea 👍 I'll try that on my current project
@@MMScaleModels If I may ask: do you think it replaces hairspray chipping? I think it looks more controllable.
@@WatchMysh For me it serves a different purpose, to create chipping with jagged edges whereas the hairspray creates somewhat smoother teansition.
Just a comment for the algorithm
Hi Metodi, I'm wondering if you have any reference photos of such paintjob of the upper surfaces? I mean the repainting of the engines. It feels a bit too much unnatural to me, I figure I would never paint a plane like that but that is just my opinion.
Your technique is as always masterclass, I love the eastern carpet shading.
Hi mate, thank you for your kind words. Here is all the referance I have on this particular aircraft: i.pinimg.com/originals/ea/6e/cc/ea6ecc27647215f6c72b84116effeab2.jpg
From these images it is questionable weather or not the top portions of the engine gondolas were repainted. However I found interesting images of airplanes restored in flying condition which show very heavy paint chipping over the engine. Which leads me to the conclusion that this is a problematic area and probably was addressed several times in the life of the airplane. All said, it is a speculation on my side but since no evidence suggests better, I decided to go that route. Besides, with weathering and exhaust staining it will be less of a focal point.
@@MMScaleModels thanks, I can't wait for the final effect after weathering. It will surely be a unique model!
P.S. After a lot of struggling with my equipment I decided to buy that fengda 0.2 airbrush you use - it cost me around 20$ and it was the best purchase I've made since I started modelling.
Please keep up posting your vids, I've learned a lot from you and I still pick up a lot of great tips from your workshop!
Beautiful work, could you please advice what was your choice for faded Olive Drab? Paint and the producer? Best regards!
Thanks mate. The fadeed olive drab was xf-62 olive drab and xf-57 buff mixture. Cannot tell you any ratios, its all eyeballed.
@@MMScaleModels I want to do the same camouflage but in 1/72. Your model will be my inspiration
Fantastic given me another approach to pre shading post shading...
Out of interest what airbrushes do you use?
amazing work on the color modulation. I really appreciaate the effort you put into allowing us to follow your build of this B-26.
Thanks mate, I appreciate all of you who watch and comment my efforts 👍
