    The last statement you said was the absolute truth.. my son has a anoxic brain injury and the drs at the cardiac icu wanted me to let him go, I said absolutely not, my son is 26 and he is recovering after they said he would NEVER open his eyes, breath on his own, feel pain recognize me!
    My son is doing all of those things and so much more! Thank you for this video! I can now understand his Eeg

      The dr.s are pressuring me after they did an eeg at Robertwood Johnson hospital. My dad had an cardiac arrest. Still not opening his eyes.

    In case 2 would you say that the EEG can be consistent with non convulsive status epilepticus if the icu doctors ask for that in their EEG referral? Thank you in advance for your answer!

      I believe that these are GPD/GPEDs related to anoxic brain injury and not SE. However based on some nomenclature and terminologies, there would be some who would disagree.

      @@EEGucation It’s controversial. But if the icu doctors ask specifically about NCSE, the answer would be Yes that could be NCSE, but could also be due to severe cortical damage with GPD, I think…
