Nella community della formula 1 si tende a pensare che i fan di Charles Leclerc siano principalmente ragazze che lo trovano carino ma in realtà i suoi fan più fedeli sono i suoi fan di sesso maschile italiani. Da questa cosa è nato un inside joke della community della F1 sull'immensa fedeltà e affetto dei ragazzi italiani fan di Leclerc. I ferraristi gli sono estremamente affezionati e, da come ne parla, Sinner si capisce che è esattamente uno di loro. Il mio commento non dice da nessuna parte che tutti gli italiani sono fan di Charles Leclerc e nemmeno che tutti i ferraristi sono suoi fan ma che Sinner è il classico esempio di ragazzo italiano fan di Charles.

@@bennibenni2805 non sapendo chi sia il pilota, e quindi che tipo di fan base abbia, non ho capito l'inside joke, sorry; per me la la F1 è morta il 1 maggio del 1994, e l'ultimo campionato che ho visto è quello del 1997 con Villeneuve, da lì non ho più seguito un solo secondo della cosa, quindi non ho la più pallida idea di chi siano i piloti oggi e cosa facciano

Asking professional athletes to judge other ones will probably always have similar results considering so many know each other. If you know Charles of course would put him 1 this is a weird one lol

As a lover of both I'll compare it with tennis for you. If someone's only been a Federer or Nadal fan for the last 20 years then they could repeat your words and say that they don't understand why tennis would be interesting now. But if you like the sport in a broader sense you could see that there's a lot to love and you could be excited for a Felix Auger Aliassime vs Andrey Rublev final.
The same works for F1. If you only like 1 driver/team and that name is not Max then you probably can't see the excitement. But if you look at the broader sense then you could see great (and a lot!) of battles and stories every racing day.
@@KastaStijn Thank you for your effort to explain. Don't get me wrong, I'm huge car guy and former F1 fan, I even participate in track days, but I left following this beautiful sport because it seems somewhat "soft" for me nowadays. Maybe I am boomer and that's the case.
Marketing, it's a trend now
It's because of Drive to Survive on Netflix, more people just know about it even if they don't watch the races. Schumacher era wasn't that exciting, it's the same as it is now with Verstappen dominating. Only the V10s made it feel more engaging. Late 2000s to early 2010s was the best along with 2021 with extremely close championship battles.

I thought tennis players were way more intelligent, but to not know who is dominating and winning in the last 3 or 4 years is a disgrace.
Not everyone follows motorsports; I know who Alonso and Hamilton are because I read their names a lot during the years, but I never heard the other 3 guys. Likely some of the tennis players doesn't give a sh*t about F1, too. Last time I watched a F1 season it was in 1997 with Villeneuve, since then never cared about the sport, it's fckng boring and useless. After Senna died they should have called it F2, because the number 1 wasn't there anymore. For me after Senna there was no reason to race anymore, the show was over.
Most of tennis players live in Monaco so of course they all know Leclerc in person and naturally place him 1st 😂
Verstappen lives there too, Dimitrov once said he lives in his building lol
