As an Iranian I would say I probably died as an Irish man and reincarnated in Iran and travel all over the world. Long live Irish and their fighting souls that can never accept being subject of any oppression
This is to the tune of the Scottish war song "Harlaw", a song about two clans fighting in Scotland. The best version of Harlaw is by The Corries. I do reccomend.
its a pity to see that people nowadays forget what men like mcverry done for the irish nation, true sons of ireland, they stuck to there beliefs unlike money grabbers adams and mcguinness.thank you for posting this video and honouring this man.
This is based on an old Scottish song, "The Battle of Harlaw": "An did you come frae the hielands man, and did you come a' the way?/And did you see MacDonald and his men, as they marched frae Skye?" Back around 1979 I bought a Folkways LP album (vinyl) called something like, "England's Vietnam: Songs of the IRA." Great record. It includes a better version of this song, better in my opinion because it's less syncopated and thus more virile and rousing. More true to the Scottish original.
@@odonnchada9994 a bunch of lowly farmers that had the biggest empire in the world travelling by helicopter in a small area , I'd say they done anything but kick arses...more like got embarrassed by the will of the south armagh brigade! Like the Vietnamese, the underdogs were highly underestimated
SAS is short for Shitty asshole soldiers because they could literally never do anything right. They had to randomly murder civilians because they were afraid of the IRA.
God's country

Does anyone know what he says in the beginning of the last verse right after he says "When politicians raise their hands, an act of ???"?
Terror sigh.i think
When politicians raise their hands, "An act of terror!" say/They let us rot for 50 years and it was the only way.
