Definitely an underrated cereal, love the brown sugar and cinnamon versions.

I swear to you I was having a bowl of oatmeal squares last night and wanted to watch you review it but couldn’t find it. I woke up this morning to some wonderful news and an even more balanced breakfast.

Probably the most filling cereal there is. Half a bowl with whole milk makes me feel very full.
The character designs and animation in the second commercial remind me of the character designs and animation in the animated movie, "Food Fight".
These are great. I sometimes ate them as a kid, usually because it was what we had on hand in the house. I always thought the squares looked like pillows for some reason

One of my favorites. Super filling, and one of the healthier cereals out there. I like all the flavors, but brown sugar is the best IMO.

The 3 main cereals of my childhood were Oreo Os (which also had a variant with marshmallows to represent the Double Stuf Oreos), Waffle Crisp, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch

There is a commercial for it from 1976 on CZcams.
I have no idea what company put it out.
It must not have lasted long, because I don't remember it at all from back then.

I grew up eating Oat Squares! I loved it as a kid, especially the cinnamon variety. I was kind of pissed when they changed the recipe/flavor in the mid-2000's. Not nearly as good as they used to be but they're still good.
Always loved corn squares, and love these too, I think corn squares were corn bran squares
I love this one! But wish it was gluten free. Curious, what's your favorite gluten free currently? Thanks for the video and so sad about Cereal Time ending. I'm enjoying the last few.

3:55 saying I grew up with it is a stretch but I did have it a handful of times as a kid.
Here in Chile 🇨🇱 They sell this cereal with the name of "Quadritos" a pun between the name of a tiny square = cuadradito. And the company name Quaker. And they sell three varieties of this cereal. Original flavor which only has sugar on it. Chocolate and almonds which includes dark chocolate squares and pieces of almond. And they used to sell cinnamon but i have never seen it on shelf, I'm guessing they took it off because Chileans don't have a strong appeal to that flavor, I wish i would have the opportunity to try it tho

I would say this cereal is pillow-shaped -- which in my opinion is superior to if they were just flat squares or rectangles more like Cinnamon Toast Crunch (I know, those squares are warped so they don't lie flat, but you get the gist). Very hearty! 🤎
Very interesting--either Quaker has changed the cereal since this video was posted, or the one sold in Canada is not the same as the US version. The shape and texture of the pieces is very different in the Canadian box I bought earlier this month. Most notably the pieces are narrow rectangles rather than squares, and the ridges aren't nearly as distinct. But the packaging is the same, so the cereal that comes out of the box is not what's depicted at all.
I don't remember ever eating them growing up, but I definitely buy them as an adult. They are a nice dense cereal for sure. I wish they had more flavors because, like you, the cinnamon is best.
This is one of those unheralded cereals that I’ve always liked yet don’t buy often enough, but would cry if discontinued.

The one time I had this cereal I felt it stayed crunchy in milk the most out of any cereal. Especially the adult healthy cereals.
