El BMW X5 que aparece en estas imágenes tiene instalado el eje trasero con dirección. El primer intento que mostramos está hecho entrando en la zona de conos a 77 km/h, sin haber experimentado con anterioridad sus reacciones y en modo de conducción «Confort».

La máxima velocidad a la que conseguimos realizar el ejercicio correctamente fue 75 kilómetros por hora. Como en el caso anterior, el X5 reaccionó de forma segura y con suficiente agilidad, si bien, los movimientos de la carrocería son amplios. La velocidad a la salida del ejercicio no fue excesivamente baja. También estaba activo el modo de conducción confortable.

Este otro intento, el cual no completamos con éxito por muy poco, lo realizamos a 78 kilómetros por hora. Consideramos que, a pesar del pequeño incremento de velocidad respecto al caso anterior, apenas hubo diferencias en los movimientos del coche.

Esta pasada tiene la peculiaridad de que está realizada con el modo de conducción Sport. A pesar de ello, la sensación de control, agilidad o seguridad apenas difiere que con el modo de conducción Confort.

A 80 kilómetros por hora, estuvimos muy lejos de completar la maniobra. Se ve bien que, en la segunda zona de conos, el subviraje es acusado, lo que impide encarar de forma adecuada el tercer carril.
Como conclusión a todo lo anterior, creemos que el desempeño del X5 en este ejercicio es bueno. En el mismo ejercicio, un Porsche Cayenne S mostró unas reacciones ligeramente más ágiles y superó el mismo ejercicio a 76 kilómetros por hora; un Audi Q8 también lo hizo más deprisa. Por su parte, el Jeep Grand Cherokee fue, con gran diferencia, mucho menos ágil que todos los anteriores.
Eslalon
El BMW X5 completó el eslalon de forma satisfactoria y mostrando unas reacciones relativamente ágiles para su tamaño y peso. Durante el ejercicio se aprecia que la carrocería describe pequeños movimientos verticales que se deben a la intervención de las ayudas electrónicas a la estabilidad, que restan un poco de fluidez a los cambios de trayectoria.

x5 is better than 8-series coupe in such test, that's unbelievable.
Vegacheng C the 8 series is way more agile. The electronics play an important role. Sports cars can afford to let the ESC at a lighter setting

@@cyp009 Actually I mean that going on with the tests, we lose a bit the possibility to compare the result (max speed for passing the test) with tests done month or years ago.
On the other hand, the driver's "feeling" help us to understand the handling.

@@nicodamian93 They are using completely different tires and they take them as standard, like comparing a Golf with Michelin energy saver on 205 tyres vs a Focus with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 on 235 tyres. This tests are good to know how they do with each tires, but not no establish comparisons between cars.
Where is the Volvo XC 90 in slalom? Is probably very bad and a mess in the slalom the XC 90 therefore it is not filmed. Here in Germany it has been found that the XC 90 quickly locks the wheels to avoid tipping over. He is afterwards no longer maneuverable and slides into oncoming traffic

This is a large car and it's more difficult to go between the cones than in a compact car just by the size difference. The positive is that the car seems to have a predictable and controllable behavior even if it touches some cones, no skipping to the side , wheels of the ground drama

The asphalt surface on which the test is made is a disaster, it is a grit that comes off which makes those small stones spin under the tires and for this reason there is no perfect grip of the tires. Replace the test area with one where the asphalt is of good quality!

Yes, this car is equipped with the air suspension. Under our opinion is both very comfortable and performs pretty well on twisty roads. But it is not a sportive car.

El motorista no está asegurado el volante de manera correcta. Lo correcto es "09:15" e no "10:10".
Eso que importa, yo te apuesto que con una mano en la posicion 12 es igual o mas agil. Eso de posiciones es un mito tonto, lo que en realidad importa es que estes atento al volante...
@@VictorEstrada No es mito. Yo soy piloto instructor en cursos de pilotaje de autos en pista. Hacemos ejercicios como la maniobra de esquiva, e la posición correcta en el volante es determinante.

Ojala q nunca tengas un imprevisto similar a esta prueba y no tengas tus manos 10 y 10 o 9 y 15 , q nunca se te de por tomar una curva cerrada y no tengas tus manos en la posicion correcta, podes llegar a ocasionar un grave accidente, por si te sirve, tampoco nunca manejes con tus brazos y piernas extendidas, en un pequeño accidente podes tener quebraduras tanto en los brazos como piernas, y ni te cuento la terrible lesion q le podes hacer a tu columna, para ello siempre a 45 grados y tu espalda bien afirmada en tu respaldar, lo mismo tu cabeza, comunicate con Victor cualquier duda el es pilotoy te puede guiar muy bien, el saber y aprender nunca esta de mas y mucho menos a la hora de manejar, por tu seguridad y la de los demas, recuerda los accidentes no son casuales, son causados, ok saludos.
Shouldn't the test be done on a more standard (slippery) road surface? This looks like a part of race track and the road surface resembles coarse sand paper :)

Their physical dimensions are very close, curb weight included. A bigger number on the badge doesn't mean a bigger car, in this case. Badge-wise, Audi cars are +1 to BMW, and their SUVs are +2. X6 = Q8, and X5 is the traditionally shaped version.
But if you thought otherwise then Audi's marketing is working.
The distance between the sections A/B and B/C should be dependent from the car's length, as well as the width of the section C. Otherwise bigger cars will always hit the first cone of B/C. Otherwise you only test the size of the car, not its capabilities of handling the manoeuvres. But probably this is the hidden intention of your channel, to "prove" the viewers that small cars are "better".
the moose doesn't care about how big or small your car is. But you can always put on your gravestone, "life was unfair to this SUV driver".
