they weigh about the same, the jdm shifter is alittle heavier by a couple of grams because its bigger
its a 10x1.25 thread, the shifter is about 17cm tall

I just got mine in the mail today:D Mine is clear haha. My thread size is 8 by 1.25 but i added the 10 by 1.25 nut i believe, so i can switch out my knob to another car with another size:)

The new knob should come with some adapters that fit over your stem, after that just center the knob, tighten any screws

To each his own, but that thing will probably turn yellow after a while. Especially if it gets a lot of sun in Arizona or Florida.

hi, i have a gold 3 from 1992. i want to change the speakers. but there are no screws to take the dashboard speaker gauze thing out. could any1 tell me how to take that apart?

Not sure if you found it, but if you're asking if you can put a manual shift knob on a automatic then yes you can, just search automatic shift knob adaptor.
