    • @Mjumbojetpresdent
      @Mjumbojetpresdent Před měsícem +6

      @@jarvasedundy1 His game and style is BETTER than what we have since seen. So many things that made him SO ELITE are SUBTLE when viewed from the up-high NBA Camera. For instance, Jordan really could elevate on his jumpers. He had like 5-10 inches more on his jumper than most elite players do today. Even when he faded he could sometimes get 40 inches if he had to, which is CRAZY. Because he could do this, it allowed him to create space with less moves since he didn't need as much horizontal space to combine with the vertical space to have enough space for the shot. That's why you always see Jordan 'peaking' over his shoulders when in the post. He was always aware of how much space the defense was giving him. He always knew at every second if the defense was giving him enough space to fade and get a shot off. He was like Floyd Mayweather but offensive about it, ha. Another thing is that he got LOW to the ground on his drives, especially for a 6'6 dude. He was FLEXIBLE. He loads on his quads when in the triple threat position, which makes his energy super efficient when he explodes out of it. He had a STRONG HEART and could create energy flow purely from his own being. Lastly, he had those big hands which allowed him to launch himself at the basket without having to have his hand necessarily under the ball. This also meant he could figure out how to finish the lay/slam WHILE he was in the air, with much more creative flexibility than other greats.

    Michael Jordan's 1992-93 season is a testament to his unparalleled greatness. Averaging 32.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists over 78 games, he showcased a level of dominance that few have ever matched. His selection to his ninth All-Star game and winning his third Finals MVP and NBA championship in the same season further solidify his status as the GOAT.
    What stands out most is his performance in the 1993 Eastern Conference Finals against the Knicks. Dropping 54 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block on 60.0% FG, 66.7% 3P, and 85.7% FT with a TS% of 74.7% in Game 4 is nothing short of legendary. This game epitomizes Jordan's ability to rise to the occasion and deliver when it mattered most.
    Jordan's blend of skill, athleticism, and basketball IQ made him a master of the game. His efficiency, with shooting percentages like 50.8% FG and 53.3% eFG, highlights his ability to score effectively and consistently. His style and grace on the court, combined with his fundamental approach, made him the most complete player of his era.
    In the late '80s and early '90s, Jordan was not just a player; he was a phenomenon. His impact on the game, both statistically and culturally, is unmatched. He brought a flair and excitement to basketball that captivated fans worldwide. Jordan's legacy is not just about the numbers; it's about the way he played the game and the indelible mark he left on the sport. Truly, Michael Jordan is the GOAT.

    To me 92-93 is peak Jordan. He became a savvier all-around player at this point. He was able to master and combine the physical parts of his game (strength, explosiveness and vertical) , skilful parts of his game (he had the footwork and moves to score from every area of the floor) and mental parts of his game (leadership and game flow control).

Would also sell out to the ball early in transition. He's still a great defender though, just don't act like he was perfect. Would do the same for blocks as well, which led to some fouls. He would leave his man and kind of roam for steals and blocks (coaching staff allowed him to). Because of that, his man was left open.

    Michael Jordan is one of the greatest of all time. What is clear from this video is that it was the team that made Michael Jordan great. All those players played together very well and had some great coaching. John Paxson, Bill Cartwright, Horace Grant, BJ Armstrong, Scottie Pippen, Will Perdue, Scott Williams, etc. they all worked so well as a team. MJ was just the best at shooting and creating shot opportunities in one-on-one situations. But it was the passing, the screen-setting, the rebounding, the boxing out, etc that made all these plays possible. I would say this was one of the best seasons for the Bulls out of their championship seasons. Maybe make a video ranking each of the Bulls Championships? I know MJ said before he liked the 1995-1996 season the best.

      When I see "my" in front of goat, I interpret that as a tacit admission that its MJ. If you think the goat is Kobe, it should come out as.. "For me, Kobe is the goat." As a concept its not who's my greatest of all time, its who is THE greatest of all time. Otherwise i think Kobe gets unfairly taxed for modeling his game after mj, and playing with shaq. However just as Kobe stans (not saying you), will say Jordan even admitted Kobe would beat him 1v1, which id say a) that doesn't prove anything, & b) he didn't, he said maybe bc kobe steals all his moves. Which a joking maybe you can beat me in this one aspect, is incomparable to Kobe saying without MJs mentorship & teaching he doesn't get to where he got. The way I see it, Kobe probably maxxed out his potential the best out of anyone, but MJ just has natural physical gifts, creativity, & an understanding Kobe didn't quite have. I think MJ being competitive in everything vs Kobe just in basketball gave him a wider angle of understanding to solving basketball problems. Like Kobe said mj would send him soccer/ other sports, nature documentaries and teach Kobe certain concepts of footwork, or problems in basketball mj found solutions by drawing inspiration outside. I think this is what sort of limits Kobe, and why Kobe is seen as more of a clone for being inspired by mj. While mj was inspired by others, it was seen as his own signature style.

    Mike The Original .
    Kobe is the MJ if MJ was playing against 10 MJs.
    - Kobe probably made Tmac, VC, Ray, Eric Gordon, OJ Mayo, Dwade, kinda feel like of Clyde Drexlers 🤔💯

    If Jordan only watched his 3 point line better. I know this was a different time but if you’re the best and you’re already shooting from that close to the 3pt line take the 3. He’s still the GOAT no dispute there
