And if the person wasted the first part of the day which is blessed, virtuous, and when provisions are sent down, for indeed his day is lost.
And from that which was in the morning (blessings) will be withdrawn from the rest of his day, therefore the muslim should be assured not to waste the first part of the day, by being inactive, tired and apathetic.
The Salaf didn't know of sleep after fajr prayer, to the point ibn Qayyim said; even if they were on a long travel, be it tiring and intense, they didn't sleep after fajr prayer. Rather, they would wait until the sun had risen and then slept.
All of that is from preserving the virtuous time which is after fajr prayer, until the sun has risen. This is a blessed and virtuous time for remembrance of Allah, and the salaf didn't sleep during this time even if they were tired or lazy etc.
Indeed they preserved this time for remembrance of Allah, especially tasbeeh (saying Subhan Allah), and the remembrances that come in the Qur'an & Sunnah. The majority of them will come in this book...
And indeed it came in Sahih Muslim that Abi Waa'il Shaqiq bin Salamah said; We prayed the morning prayer (Fajr) then we went to ibn Mas'ood, to his home to visit him, we requested permission to enter. The female servant sought
for us permission to enter, so we were permitted to enter (ibn Mas'ood permitted them to enter), so after gaining permission we waited a little bit, then entered. So when we entered upon Ibn Mas'ood,he said; why were you delayed and you
were given
permission to enter (earlier). We said; We thought somebody inside
may be sleeping we would wait a little until the people inside could organise or prepare the pathway inside for us, so we waited a little before entering.
So Ibn Mas'ood may Allah be please with him said; do you think that with us is heedlessness (i.e sleeping after fajr prayer). The meaning of that, nobody in the household slept after fajr prayer.
Then they began to remember Allah with (subhan Allah), until the female servant said the sun has risen, then he looked and said it hasn't. So they began dhikr with (subhan Allah). Then he said to the female servant to check if the sun had risen she replied; yes.
He said; All praise is due to Allah. He said a strange word. He said; All praise is due to Allah, who, excused us this day of ours, and didn't allow us to get caught up in our sins.

I wish that it would be possible to stay awake after fajr. In my country, at this moment maghrib is 22:30, isha is 00:00, and fajr is 2:15, and within the next month the gap between Isha and fajr will become even smaller so there's literally no time to fall asleep before fajr to get rest 😢 But alhamdulillah anyway, in winter the nights are long and fajr is late.

What is the rememberance of ibn massod..... About praising Allah in the morning...I wanna try to practice it coz I have the tendency of going back to sleep after fajr?
You can find the remembrances in a book called hisnul muslim / fortress of the Muslim. It can also be downloaded on to a smart phone via playstore or AppStore. You’ll find all the adhkar in there including morning and night time remembrances. Jazak Allah khayr.

I believe this is from the shaykh's explanation of تحفة الأخيار of Shaykh Ibn Baz رحمه الله.
If subuh ends at 6:15am and dhuha starts at 6:45am. I can sleep after 6:45am?
After the sun has risen, as mentioned in the video. barak Allah feek.
التذكرة because I have read some where else ..we can only sleep after the dhuha starts.
@@ahmadhidayah1 just look outside Allah (swt) blessed us with so much sight,etc. look outside when the sun is shining you know the sun has risen and once there is light and darkness is fully gone its not difficult, every second is blessed at this time bi'idhnillah

Meaning what? right after fajr till sunrise is not recommended to sleep?
So is it okay to sleep after the sunrise?
or
does it mean the salaf emphasis not sleeping during the morning at all?
Emphasis on the morning adhkar and saying them instead of sleeping without reading the supplications and the generality of trying to stay awake after fajr but this also depends on your schedule.

Sleeping post Duhar/Zuhar is also considered sunnah. Kindly share the hadith if someone remember.
