It could be that simple or they’re just totally incompetent which there’s plenty of proof of that. Maybe they were at the top of their game and that’s all the better they are. I’ll bet you any Secret Service agent, FBI agent or ATF agent doesn’t want the people who live around them to know what do they for a living, because they will be ridiculed and they deserve it.

Security 101 is that you never leave your post unmanned. Whether it’s hot or cold outside makes no difference. In any inclement weather, be it hot or cold, officers should be switched out and cycled through the posts in order that there isn’t just one person or a few people left to endure the conditions. Frequent movement also allows for aiding in the ability for each officer to stay alert.
Officers should not be texting. All calls and alerts should be made over radios with all agencies involved being on the same channel and using the same codes.
    This isn’t rocket science.
The United States Secret Service is the highest level of security to be offered.
Secret Service was charged with providing security at the rally. It’s obvious that security for certain areas at the location were delegated to other agencies, whether through local law enforcement or through private security companies.
Secret Service didn’t do their job in making sure that all officers involved that day were briefed on how the function was going to be operated.
Heads of any and all other agencies also dropped the ball. There’s someone in charge of each department. Each of those heads need to be disciplined, and either retrained or possibly relieved from their duties.
Also, in my opinion, Cheatle shouldn’t have been allowed the opportunity to resign. She should have been made to immediately turn her devices over and she should have been fired on the spot.

They should absolutely never be made illegal or restricted, but I spent almost a decade in Afghanistan with my Naval EOD team, have been in many firefights. We almost never used full auto fire, we used semi auto almost exclusively, most of the SF, Seal, and other elite forces I tasked with also never went full auto either. We had SAW gunners for suppression, the civilian AR is just as capable as an M4 in a legitimate combat setting, regardless most civilian low shelf receiver ARs are easily adapted to full auto, another option is using a binary trigger, so yes the civilian AR is a combat weapon.

When they say they want the facts what they mean is they are waiting to see how much info is out there until they create their narrative. It’s really bad when they put a narrative out then people have cell video that counters that. Like a sloped roof or something.
