@@ExileOfSand Y gives the same 2 points of Critical eye like B+ BUT two level 2 deco instead of one level 4 deco, so maybe the two level 2 are more efficient for him. (B+ also gives one point of latent power but that's like nothing)

I don't think I hate a single monster as much as I despise Rajang. Not Black Diablos, not Raging Brachyados, not no one. I wish to learn him so well, any and all attacks by him will be futile. I will be able to bully his ass for hours upon end if I desire it. Constant oppression the likes of which he could never dream of enacting on me again. The most infuriating monster in the game by FAR

Is the sword combo you do optimal? Not bashing, just trying to figure out best dps. I usually do triangle, triangle, circle because the 2nd hit cancels into the double hit faster, at least I feel it does, where as your combo (triangle, circle) looks like there's more time between the first and second hit, which might be a faster combo but less dps proportionately.

The fastest and optimal combo for sword is actually triangle; triangle and circle, it does a lot of damage very fast but this combo isn't optimal for charging the sword

Equip paralysis weapons on yourself and your palico.
Also: Stamina thief and Slugger on a switch axe pretty much pins monsters to the ground

Probably too old video to ask questions but i still try, how does he not have to switch from axe to sword mode and why is he permanently in sword mode ?

You can go into sword mode so long as your meter is past that bar. You can swing immediately into sword mode from sheathe. He wasn’t permanently in sword mode, there were times where he was using axe mode.

Gotta have that outer gauge filled up (amped state with sword mode) then Y+B or Triangle+Circle depends on whatchu play on, while in sword mode ofc then you’ll attach and do that explosive finish

but a real tip? try to stop looking for tips and easy ways for everything and just put the work in. most people who suck are those that ask every half decent player "any tips?".
The same kind of people who spend 5 hours making sheets to cheat on an exam instead of learning 5 hours, acing the exam and also *learn something*

Not a cut, just a skip in the video recording. You can see that his palico has the same health, which is something nearly impossible to line up with the same conditions. His stamina increases a bit because he had to climb the ice step, which would've stopped his running and caused his stamina to recharge for a moment.
