- SO WG went full bananas on us this Xmass and made a whole series of missions which just might actually be impossible to complete xD
Unless you have srsly nothing better to do these holidays or unless this is your job (maybe not even then, we'll have to see) you probably have no chance of doing these on time.
Now I know this is a "free" premium tier X ship we're talking about here but DEJM WG you might have went a bit too crazy here.
I'm "looking forward" to finding out if these are actually doable xD

They could have run these objectives to Easter and 95% of us would still have no chance of getting through it... Simply insane...
So around directive 5 there is one that says 9000000 dmg. if im not mistaken the highest avrg damage on eu is in the reagin of a 105000/game. that is still 90 games at directive 5. LOL
@@reynardtv1 And that's just one of the missions - you need 5, so 450games per stage, every 4 days.... I'm not even sure Flambass could complete this one for free!!
@@neilharbott8394 i think it's 6 missions per directive, to unlock the next one. Anyways, this is not gonna happen for me at least, cuz if you have some sort of life beyond playing this game, it's definition of insanity. WP Wargaming.
@@ivantheterrrible9213 It's 6 each for the first 3 to unlock the Italian Cruiser - after that it's "only" 5 per directive. I figure about 25 hours to complete each 1. As you say there is also real life to get involved with.
@@neilharbott8394 not to mention, that this is insane thing to do even with all the camos and flags, but how many people have like hundreds of those? I struggle with that, and i'm playing this game prob 4-5 hours on average (on a good day). But hey, you can always pay 230-240 euros to get the PR. Like people are going places for the holidays... idk, this is such a shitfest, WG outdone themselves this time. Sadly, bcuz this could have been fun little event.
Hello, naval engineer here, yes that's the way a keel looks! abilion little pieces made into a welded structure to reinforce the whole structure. it is quite accurate to be honest in the entire building process...

And those tons of squares are "voids" cavities in the ship to store various types of liquids or to just be empty
WG took this shipbuilding so accurate, regarding structure, hell, even the time you need to put into this is pretty much on point. lol
its easier to build the real ship than do these missions
But during ww2 where ships built in section at different sites to be brought together at the drydock to make the ship like pieces of a puzzle? This seems to be like how they built ships before like before ww2 and the late 1800s?
WG made the Background music so soothing to calm players after dropping them a lot of impossible missions

it's a free game, who cares. Just don't bother.
Some guy on reddit made a couple threads highlighting how they're gaslighting people with this event and comparing wg's recent behavior to the cycle of abuse.
Essentially, the long and the short of it is that this is a blatant cash grab which will give them something to apologize for so they can continue being predatory in the future while people are calming down and saying "well at least it's not as bad as the puerto rico".
WG is learning from their recent behavior, and that's absolutely not a good thing.
They literally just told EA to hold their beer lol
after this directive, the next freexp ship will cost 20 million freexp

If you cut down only 1 "0" for most directives it becomes somewhat possible. Though still hell of a grind. But the inaccesability and the directives not synergizing at all makes it *even worse*
But even then 4.7 million potential damage received *in a cruiser* is borderline C***er. Just for cash grab. Octavian basically confirmed it already

I have a lot of descriptive and colorful uses of curse words coming to mind for this. Not because I wanted the ship, but because this entire event is WG figuring out how to squeeze our wallets with ever greater efficiency. Time potentially spent on this and money potentially spent on this are better served in other pursuits. Like family, friends, and the holiday spirit.
Give us back the free port slot program...I mean, useless low tier premiums that we will just sell for the port slot.
It is not even with great efficiency. Most of us are turned off already. The whales are already going to spend the money. If it was $10 for all the boosts. most of us would have not batted an eye.

You can get pretty much all of the free xp ships after these directives jesus christ. They want you to play a year worth of games in a week for the last directive
There come a point where it is just too much, not going to even try to do that.

Absolutely, this is just completely out of question, even for premium players with a lot of time.
Agreed, there is no way I'm even gonna start the first mission. I'd rather buy a couple Santa containers
Actually I would have to say even if they tried it, they would fail. Some one calculated it out and it turned out to be about 36 days of continuous play to complete for above average players so if you are average and can play 12 hours a day and win 90% plus games you play you can do it in 72 days, at 4 hours a day 216 days. Yup not possible for any players, it is a pay us money scam at this point.

I honestly think, and hope, that is so. It's literally impossible to complete that last directive without playing 24 hrs a day for a week and stacking free XP flags and camos, if your lucky

I want some of the crazy drugs being used by whoever made the directive missions. Absolutely ridiculous. At least the rest of the event isn't too bad and gives a bunch of free stuff, but the directives kinda dampen the enjoyment.

This would have been fine if they made this an indefinite event and everyone could unlock this ship for free but I don’t think I could maintain my sanity long enough to do these think I will focus on getting the premium Italian cruiser and be happy with that.
even if it was unlimited, 99% of players wont finish all the missions in 5 more years. the vast majority wont even in 10 years!!

This kind of thing right here is why I stopped playing WoWs. They say you can earn something through game play, but then make it so much of a grind that you are almost forced to pay real money to finish up the task. This time they are front loading it. They want you to spend what... $240 on dabloons to get all the pay perks, and if you don't do it right away, your gimping yourself with the ship building tokens per minute. No thanks.
Thats why you dont play Russian free 2 play games. Who above the age of 22 has the time to play the game as a fulltime job?
Almost forced? ALMOST? Not even Flambass, Flamu or any other unicorn could complete this. This is straight up impossible without paying money. You can get through the first 3 directives quicker if you buy the ship you’d earn from the 3rd directive. This is straight up a twisted cash grab.

Thank you Flambass for this timely video - I was just about almost going to drop the doubloons to boost the build. You are 100% correct, Porto Rico is NOT WORTH IT.
I am not grinding for that ship, I will buy some santa crates and Gorizia (because ships and giggles). My son bought 40 of the mega gift crates and got 6 ships, 30,000 coal and a ton of doubloons, camos and flags from the rest. He is very happy with that result. But we have both decided the PR is just not worth the rest of it at all.
We will just play the game like we normally do and what drops, drops. Whatever directives we accidentally unlock we will take, but that's it.
After watching this the Xmas music slowly started sounding psychotic in the end.. Like they are insane. Thus is meant to not be able to be done by anyone.

Actually I see this as good news in that it relieves me of feeling like the event has to be done or something achievable will be missed. Since actually completing this is effectively impossible nothing will really get missed. The reactions across the interweb as the realization of this has started to sink in today have been nothing short of comedy gold.

Anyone else remember when NoZoupForYou, Notser, Mejash, and Flamu during the rank seasons wanted more exclusivity and ways to cull the "casuals" out by limiting who could have the good Tier Xs. . . . They got their wish.

You know they chose the directives from a list of choices. Left out this year: Yamato : 200,000 shattered shell hits , Pan Asian Destroyers: 2,000,000 overpens , Carriers: 20,000 base capture/assist.
Don't give them any ideas.
I just did some quick math, even buying all the doubloon boosters before the shipbuilding begins, it's still not enough. Taking in the 421 points per minute total, times the number of minutes in a 28 day period(40320), plus the instant boost of points, you only come to 34,974,720 points. You're still short 16,325,280 points from the required 52.3mil points.
THIS IS LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO GRIND AND VISA!

Also Flambass, you should notice that the directives this time, unlike before, never synergize with each other, for example, the fire starting ribbons and fire damage are 2 different classes, or nations, every time, you can't complete more than a single task at any given time.

The whole concept of building a ship is cool, the animation and dockyard itself are neat and I thoroughly enjoy them. The Directives have killed that enjoyment dead.

This would actually be a pretty cool event if all of these directives took into account your progress over the whole year. I'd probably have the Pan American Base XP done even though it's only Nueve de Julio. The fact that they want you to grind this shit in just a few days is ridiculously overkill.

Kinda like the Henri, it’s good if the meta didn’t include HE in general but since HE is included in general, ships like the Des Moines and Zao are still superior to ships like the Henri and Yoshino(a?) in every aspect you can imagine.

the game does not update here, gives an error 3005, I joined the facebook group about wows brazil (where I live) and realized that many have the same problem

When i tested this dockyard thing in PTS, i immediately knew that these numbers would be insane when it comes to Live server and oh boy i was silent. Totallt silent.
Looks like WG wants to compete with Star Wars for “Biggest Dumpster Fire of 2019”
The worst part of all this isn t the requirements themselves (which are insane) but the method behind it. It s a double time gating trying to achieve a commitment trap. This lovely animated ship building process is nothing but a way to obscure the costs in both time and money this ship is actually costing, making the chances how to achieve the ship far less predictable. It s a way to lure ppl into using more and more of those boosters for doubloons by making things less predictable. Some ppl will think one booster will cut it just to find out that it doesnt and by the time they committed so heavily to it that using the next booster seems worthwhile coz u already spent a lot...just to find out that even that isn t enough. The hidden details in those missions just reinforce that. I wouldn t be surprised if they ended up lowering the requirements in order to keep this dirty scheme alive.
