With the release of patch 2.7 to DCS world and hopefully an increased number of new players being drawn to this amazing sim I thought I’d go over the basics for all of you wannabe virtual hornet pilots out there.

what are your atmosphere settings? Fog/haze enabled? Looks great...
Nice. A few things I didn't know and missed. We ran a mission over on the Spudknocker server (I think) and we had an entire flight of 4 launch TALDs at the SA15 site and right behind we fired a flights worth of these JSOW BROACH puppies. It was a thing of beauty watching them shoot down decoys while our multimillion dollar JSOWs glided in unmolested. A tricky timing issue but if you have good COMs it's a breeze. In the end it was overkill because once the high value targets were destroyed, we were killing trucks, com vans and empty launchers. Liked and subbed

Do you need altimeter set to barometric or radiator for gas guided weapons

I don’t think it matters at all because the targeting pod will automatically enter the altitude of that point on the ground or in PP you have manually entered the elevation
I tried it yesterday and I loaded 4 JSOWS. Only 2 launched and the other 2 won't fire when I hit the button. What went wrong? I think the one that launched was the non cluster bomb one.
I’d say user error mate, check your coordinates and then check them again and then check them again to make sure they have been entered correctly. You probably missed a step along the way by trying to do too much too soon. Start with the dumb bombs and worry about the cool stuff later on mate. Learning how to CCIP bomb is great fun and rewarding too
@@TorniQuetHD i hate ccip the most. Especially the dive bombing one. because the target is so small u cant really see it??? The crosshair just covers everything and the target is like a tiny dot!
Back to basics mate until you get them all sorted remember 👌🏻 if it was easy everyone would be a naval aviator IRL

sure wish the hornet flew the CBU 105, the CBU`s in the hornet suck balls and are just about worthless. tks for the video always need a refresher
Hornet has crap rockets, crap cbus, and can’t carry the smaller mavericks.
Yeah hornet lacks in the cluster munitions area.
