    Thank you, Claudia! I just purchased my first cajon. It's a Lp Angled 1433. I look forward to watching more of your sessions and hopefully I can be half as good as you are! Truly inspiring!!!

    Hiya, does depend a lot on the Cajon make and model. If you're still getting buzzing no matter whether you're tightening or loosening strings, try taping down the strings with some tape from the inside. Try taping in different spots - eg a piece horizontally across the strings a third from the top, and then a bit lower down too. Hope that helps. c :)

    Hi Lee, Thanks for the feedback. Main cajon I'm playing is a Requena Master Series cajon - and then during the vid, I play a few different Schlagwerk and Requena models, :)

    Hi - yes sometimes the sound hole can be on the side. All of the Schlagwerk and Requena cajons (which are the ones I play and sell) have the sound hole at the back. I have however tried a couple of cajon models with the sound hole at the side - and one was a great sounding cajon, and one was pretty average, Claudia :)

    Hi Claudia, I was wondering what type of cajon you would reccomend for strong acoustic sounds for and acoustic band?

    @calienteguitartrio Hey thanks so much for your lovely feedback - somehow it got lost in an inbox somewhere - really appreciate it :)

  • @LearnCajonClaudia
    @LearnCajonClaudia  Před 12 lety

    @jakeaboo40 Hiya - sorry - just saw this now...I think the main thing looking for a cajon for an acoustic band is finding one that has a warm bass sound. This is the thing that seems to be harder to come by, and is usually more expensive - but depends! I'd also look for a cajon with a good contrast between the bass and snare tones, that sounds great without needing to mike it up, and add effects. Hope that helps? claudia :)
