- To celebrate seven years of run streaking we went to stay with friends in the Peak District and headed over to the gorgeous spa town of Buxton to run Pavilion Gardens parkrun. This is such a cool park with so much history and some incredible buildings so there is so much to see!
Huge thanks to the awesome team here for making us feel so welcome. An absolute must if you're visiting Pavilion Gardens parkrun is to head to Buxton Spring to rehydrate with Buxton Spring Water from the source! Such a cool experience!
I absolutely loved this parkrun with it's listed buildings and wiggly paths. Definitely worth a visit!

Incredible proximity of those houses to the parkrun start/course 😍
I know right?! They're literally THERE! I think the new start will work loads better 😃
That park looks wonderful and I added it to my list. Those buildings, incredible! You don't buy a house like that on the edge of a park and expect it to be quiet! Thanks for sharing.
Buxton is such an incredible place to visit anyway... Having a parkrun there is the dream! 🥰
Well done Nicola - 7 years is quite the streak - great achievement. "That makes me want to pretend to be a troll" was a highlight - an impulse we can all agree on
Thanks... I might do it next time 😜🤣
Wow - 7 years is incredible 🫡👏👏
Thanks so much, it started with a week, then a month, now here we are! 🙃
Oh those houses by the park ❤️❤️❤️
They're lovely aren't they! 😍
Congrats on your amazing achievement, and thanks for another great review. Perfect choice for a special run. This was my 3rd ever parkrun back in January, and despite the ice (and geese!) I just loved it - great atmosphere, beautiful setting, amazing volunteers - where the parkrun bug properly bit me. Thanks too for the info on the new configuration - must return in warmer weather.
Thanks 😊 Oh wow, you were lucky to run somewhere so cool so early on your parkrun journey! Not surprised you got the bug after this! 😍
Great video, as ever. We were fortunate to do this course just before Christmas. It’s a fantastic run. It is “wiggly” although nothing compared to Chadderton Hall 😮 😂. Congratulations on your 7 years. An incredible achievement.
Thanks David 🤗 These wiggly parkruns are so fun aren't they?! Even if they're not PB courses. It makes me feel like a kid 😃
7 years 😱 welldone ❤
Thanks 🤗
I visited Pavillion Gardens in Buxton in 2010 when I had a week’s holiday in Derbyshire around the time of my 40th birthday. It looks a lovely course. I’ll put it on the to do list but Lyme Park & Trentham Gardens are the ones nearby that are top of my list to do next year.
Trentham Gardens is on my list too! 😃
Trentham Gardens is stunning. You will love it. I checked it out a couple of years ago when I visited the potteries. I will try & tie it in with my annual trip to see at Test Match at Edgbaston. I’m really keen to see the monkeys at Trentham Gardens next time 🙂
I amin Wales atm and in a local community area there is a bench in a beautiful cosy corner with a plaque on saying 'cwtch corner' just gorgeous xx
That's so lovely 🥰
Oooh dance valley way sounds like a thing I could get on board with x
Me too! 🙃
I walked through that park on Saturday.
Do you live locally? It's such a lovely place 😍

@@NicolaRuns o yes sometimes
Oh no! That’s another one to add to the list….
Get it on there 😜
What a cool park, Nicola. Thanks for taking me along. I think our trees and flowers are about a week ahead of yours. We are starting to get into really bright green on everything though now as we approach summer (I am in the US mountain west area). I did get to do a 5K near a working apple orchard a few weeks ago (in the rain no less). Congrats on your 7 year streak. I've done a few streaks -- usually 60 or 90 days, but nothing on the level you are doing. I definitely need my 100% rest days from time to time. Looking forward to the next installment of your running adventures.
Thanks Eddie 😊 we're definitely approaching summer... We just went away for 3 days and I came back to a jungle in the back garden the grass has grown so much! 🙈🤣 Thanks re. the run streak, I didn't set out to do it... It just sort of happened. I look forward to seeing what will stop it! That will definitely be an interesting day 🙃
