But actually you can have both, get eyes lasered and keep glasses at 0 level with antireflex and so on if you want to keep the look, or need time to get used to not wearing them. At least that's what i'd do if i could afford the laser/had someone to look after me for those few days of being after the surgery

I'm an optometry student and I work PT at an ophthalmic office and they showed how Lasik was improved and I highly recommend it!
I also want laser eye surgery but I’m worried about the risks, a video about it if you are considering it would be cool

I got PRK years ago since my corneas were too thin for LASIK, and I’ve had no problems since. I had it done by a top surgeon in New York. Never cut corners on your health.
Hey I got LASIK done when I was only 18 and it was the best thing ever I had glasses since I was 4 and my eyesight used to be very weak. I recommend it to everyone and also 2 other people in my family got it done and are doing perfectly fine. They assess u first before u go in so there’s nothing to worry about.
Yes, i went through a LASIK surgery. Worth the money. Changed my life. But it is not permenant actually. In a couple of years, I have started to loose my 20/20 eyesight. But I don't need to wear glasses all the time. Just when I need to see very far.
Ali bro, laser eye surgery was one of the best, most life changing I have ever done. Waking up in the morning and just being able to see is pure joy. I went with PRK, which I 100% recommend if you have the time to heal. Go for it man!

My husband is similar to you in some ways.. being a productive person, always busy with statistics and academia, when he wants to rest he opens an excel sheet
All this time his mom was trying to find him a wife and pushing him also to look for one but he was delaying it and always gets nervous and angry when discussing the topic especially when it comes to how is he going to meet THE girl. After we got married (we got to know each other through a shared friend and married right away) he became so much happier he told me and I hear him when he speaks to his friends of similar backgrounds convincing them to get married because they’ll be happy!
I just wanted to share this with you for some reason! Marriage is beautiful especially if it is the right person (and btw you can never know if it is or not, you just have to pray and ask allah for the best for you and for your partner and keep the faith and the right person will come on their own)
I really wish you the best Ali and I hope you find your best friend, soulmate and wife soon ❤️

So funny I clicked on this video to see Ali without glasses and he asks us if he should switch his glasses for lenses. Lenses Ali, lenses! Can't say anything about the laser surgery because I didn't have one. But wearing lenses for years now and loving it.

Laser eye treatment is a must for someone appreciates being productive. No more cleaning choosing, fixing, looking for glasses. No slobbering and messing with lenses. I had done 12 years ago and excuse the pun...have never looked back. The procedure was so so quick, so simple, I had over thought this for years and after was kicking myself. I had been a slave to glasses and lenses for 24 years 🤓
Thank you for sharing this experience, I've not been too bothered with my contacts but I cannot get used to glasses. :/ Going to seriously consider laser eye treatment.
@@esmee6308 I used wear hard lenses as could never get soft lenses out....my friends and I would spend many a night on pub floors trying to find one if popped out hahaha. It such a blessing not having either glasses or lenses and to instantly have sight when you wake up in the morning also going on holiday to hot places and getting to wear normal sunglasses and not have eyes irritated by pool/sea water...honestly I am the biggest wuss when comes to anything medical...but this procedure was so simple I would tell anyone not to hesitate and get their value by getting done sooner rather than later....for me it was miraculous. For year I thought my prescription was too high to get done I was -5.75...but was fine. Best money i ever spent.
@@michellepearson484 I popped a (soft) contact whilst lifting because at the highest weight I can handle I'm so focussed blinking isn't a consideration, that's kinda been a breaking point for me to think "oh, this is actually a bit of an issue." Been thinking about it since but rarely find people sharing their experiences. I'm not exactly scared of any medical procedure due to my disability having put me through so many already. So it's mostly 'is it worth the investment' kind of thing. Especially once I need new glasses. (Had the same ones for 10y, that luck is gonna run out soon.)
Anyhow, thank you again for sharing your experience, it really means a lot to me! Going to have a long think about it and looking into it financially.

Hi Ali, great to see that you are interested in finally looking after your eyes: contacts vs lasik.
What is your prescription? You seem quite myopic and this may restrict what can be done with laser correction. Also is your prescription stable? I recall we weren't really up to date with eye exams? ;)
I don't think this has to be mutually exclusive. Try contact lenses for a while and see if you like the look. I'm sure you can manage getting them in and out. Another option is orthokeratology which is a special mould that you sleep in and gives you clear vision throughout the day. These are all completely reversible.
If you like the look of no glasses, and you are sure your prescription is stable, and you prescription is not too high, then look into it! Remember surgery is permanent and it entails risk.
I may be an Optometrist, but I'm not your optometrist so please seek advice from your local eye care professional.
