Is This the Most Luxurious Hotel & Restaurant in the World? Speilsalen at Britannia in Trondheim

- [AD: Visit Trondheim] Step inside one of the world’s most luxurious hotels, Britannia Hotel in Trondheim, Norway. We’ll take you on a tour of one of the fanciest suites, show you their one-of-a-kind room service offerings, and showcase the full meal at the Michelin-starred restaurant Speilsalen, their flagship restaurant. The name translates to "The Hall of Mirrors," which is fitting for such a grand fine dining restaurant. Bocuse d’Or silver medalist Christopher Davidsen is the head chef, and award-winning sommelier Henrik Dahl Jahnsen leads the wine program, so the bar is set high. The historic dining room is spectacular, and the presentations are some of the most stunning we've seen in a restaurant. The restaurant was awarded its first Michelin star less than a year after opening, and, in our opinion, it won't be long before they earn the second.

This video called me poor in about 1000 different ways but it just looks so gorgeous!
Haha, yeah, we felt pretty poor staying here as well.
I was thinking the same, you gotta be rich to afford it by the looks of it, but im glad they’re doing videos so I can live vicariously through them 😂😅
As a chef with michelin star experience myself,I stunned that this place has just 1*. Definitely a 3 star experience right there 👏
Keep up the great work, you guys do a great job showcasing fine dining to the world ❤️
We agree! Thanks.
soon
It is amazing how am in Africa right now but can come with you guys to these world class restaurants-through your videos, thanks a lot.
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful camera work, every shot is stunning as is the food.
Thanks a lot!
Stunning once again! I love your style so much. Thanks for my morning inspiration.
Thanks for the kind words!
Delightful. Always look forward to your videos.
Glad you like them!
Bucket list indeed 👍. Wow 4 rooms! Amazing dining. Thanks for sharing 🤠
Thanks for watching! It's indeed a fantastic hotel and dining experience.
Stunning! Absolutely magnificent!
It's a magical place!
What an experience! This place is definitely worth planning for a special occasion with someone special. With so much to see, the video could actually be even longer if you visited the other restaurants and bar in the hotel.
I knew I was in for a ride when a restaurant has so many selections of caviar to try. I’m sure a lot of the dishes must taste delicious with the service being top notch, but the place deserves at least 2 Michelin stars just from the food presentation alone.
Absolutely! And yeah, we could have included more from the other food concepts in the hotel, but also didn't want Speilsalen (the main attraction) to completely drown among the other places! :)
OMG this so charming 😍. Thank you so much for amazing vlog 💐💝
Happy new year 🎊
Happy new year!!
I was born for luxury like this! What an amazing experience
I think your daughter was too! Haha.
Really love the voice overs!
Happy to hear that!
Yep , this is EXACTLY what I'm looking for in a fine dining experience, nailed it. Pure luxury and top class expensive ingredients cooked with the highest attention to detail. Won't even begin to discuss the price but no doubt it's a lottery win night out.
Honestly, this meal is priced at half the price of most restaurants at a similar level in Scandinavia!
Pretty reasonable at $250 for the tasting menu
The ghostly shaking spoon at 4:48 is an interesting touch 👻
Oh, haha! It must have gotten stuck between the plates, bouncing back and forth. Didn't notice until now. :D
All I can say is WOW!!
It's an impressive place!
Stunning
Out of this world!
Beautiful video, guys!
Thanks so much!
That looks amazing! So cool that we have a restaurant like that in my country. Would love to visit one day. Great video!
You should!
That’s a big renovation, but it is beautiful! Just amazing, wow!
It really is!
How romantic everything is.
Great place for a date!
Wow, just wow.
Thanks for watching!
Great craftsmanship
Absolutely!
I was at Brasseriet and according to one of the waiters there, I was the youngest there since I was with my friends at 15 y/o. I paid for everything and it came to a total of around $80 for three people's lunch.
I could've gone there alone for just ~$30, but I dragged the other two with me because I was bored
Great video guys
Thanks a lot!
You actually missed out on a restaurant inn the "cellar" of the hotel. Jonathan Grill is under the cocktail bar
We ate there last year! :)
🎉🎉🎉
Central Restaurante 🤩
Great food ❤️
It was!
Very nice Videos... Keep on eating 🙂
Thank you, we will! 😋
Exquisite.
Oh, yes!
Silly question for a food video, but does anyone know what recording of Tchaikovsky's Trepak was playing at the beginning? It's one of my favorite classical songs but I'd never heard that particular version before!
The Nutcracker Op. 71, TH.14 & Act 2 - No. 12D Trepak from Epidemic Sound.
My goooooood luxury on top, soooo gooooooood
Oh yes!
That restaurant is almost as lovely as you
It really is!
1:40. What was the brand of mattress? Sounded like “Pestence”. Is this correct? Thank you so much in advance.
Hästens
Looks great! I just wish they would serve krug champagne.
Hahahaha
Sold! Where else to go in Trondheim or is this a one day affair?
You know we've got you! andershusa.com/foodie-maps/the-best-restaurants-in-trondheim-norway-city-guide-and-map/
Wow great! But how many times they hard Jerusalem artichoke? 😅
They love it!
You forgot to mention Jonathan Grill. It is also worth a visit.
We've been there too!
ummmm that is a 3 Michelin restaurant ! WTF is that rating!!!
Michelin is sooo slooow with upgrading restaurants in Scandinavia.
That was great work as always. Really captured both the food and environment. Im a huge fan of the channel. We must find a way to get you more views. Your quality of work is worth 500k at least.
Thanks, haha! Please do. :D
Good lord! Only 1 star?!
Right? Should be two, at least!
@@andersandkaitlin I know it’s quite a distance, it any thoughts on visiting Cyrus in Geyserville, CA?
@@smokyo7855 Never heard of the place. Is it good?
@@andersandkaitlin Douglas Keene is the chef and was previously in Healdsburg, but after some years there was a problem with the lease renewal. He fell silent for a handful of years and now opened in Geyserville, Ca and recently given 1 star. The new space looks impressive, modern, open, and spacious. I plan to go at some point since I’m already here in NorCal. Love all of your work. You have star quality, fun, upbeat, open. I always look forward to your videos. ❤️
@@smokyo7855 Thanks for the tip! And thanks for the kind words as well.
I got hungry. ☺
Great success then! :D
near to 3*
Def closer to 3 than 1!
@@andersandkaitlin ja
Your nails or on point 🔥 😄😄
Kaitlin always makes sure! :D
Anders, where did you find this cheerful wife?
I stumbled upon her in a three Michelin star restaurant! True story.
@@andersandkaitlin how did that came to be? introduced by a friend?
@@BB8enjoyer We've described it in detail here! andershusa.com/four-year-anniversary-foodie-stories-by-anders-husa-introducing-kaitlin/
this "only" has 1 Michelin star ?????
Exactly ;) Should have at least two!
The first minute it’s Like dakota johnson reviewing her own House on AD 😂
Haha!
Even the rich want to know how much they have to pay ,mention a price would top it off.
We always put the price in the description! :)
First!
Wooo!
Buy your best fried chicken from local store, get inside the car.. go to beach or forest with quiet breeze..put some music... Then eat.... That's all and that's me (very cost effective)
Sounds tasty!
I only have $3.00
Don't recommend this then! :D

that place looks so expensive i think they charged me a grand just to watch the video!
Yup, invoice coming your way!
A high level of presentation, class, parsimoniousness and indeed, a scam.
I prefer Chinese take away to this.
Gold bathtub, why,?too extreme,i like other restaurants in the country better, neverthe less, yum
