That healing drone did come in clutch. The bigger range makes it more reliable in fights.
Though I wouldn't call any of those changes "buffs". I would say adjusted because that is how it is supposed to be at the start so it would not be the worst things in the game.
thats what a buff is. it wasnt good enough so they made it better. devs cant predict 100% everything. else there'd be no balancing to do.

Folks buffs aren't real they're just adjusting characters to be how they were always intended.

As a Lifeline main, I think the buffs are actually quite good, it solved some problems I had with her kit. Though she needs more (I've got a couple suggestions). I play her because her are abilities are easy to use and requires less from the player, unlike my second main, Crypto. As a casual player who only gets a few hours to play every week, ease of use is so important to me. Also, I like her character, she's cute and is a nice vibe.
For some further improvements:
1) Ult - Give the player control over what's in the care package via "loadouts", maybe 3 or 4 different ones. For example, my team has no batteries, so I'll select a loadout to call in a care package that only gives shield cells and batts. Need medkits because we used all of ours escaping the ring? I can call in a carepackage for that. Etc..
2) Passive - Return the revive shield on manual revive and it stays an extra two seconds after reviving (Useful against res campers). So, hold revive button to manual res with shield. Tap revive to auto-res with drone and no shield. This also returns a higher skill ceiling that the OG players once had.
And that's it. Easy for any new and casual players and can provide value across most skill levels. I think she'd be perfect.
I don't think she'll ever get her shield back because of Newcastle unfortunately

Facts her res sheild can easily be countered by so many used legends now so its not even that bad and even before grenades existed. So many bots complained it was op when it never was

@@-LowResDream Will never not be confused by that drone nerf. Moving the drone was more quality of life than a game breaking exploit. I don’t understand Respawn on that one. It was not overpowered.

Edit: I think it would be a good idea to reanimate the old heirlooms like Wrath octane and lifeline because they suck compared to the newer ones

The fact that lifeline's heirloom disappears when she climbs... It feels unfinished compared to the new ones.

A couple of simple ideas to make lifeline soo much better. 1 When you deploy the robot to revive someone allow the downed person to control the robot and drag them around (similar to newcastle dragging a downed player). 2 She can only deploy 1 robot over all, so if one person is getting rezzed she cannot deploy that robot to heal, rather that robot will be the robot that heals (Also she can only revive one person at a time with the robot but the one she deploys it on will revive much faster.). 3 Make it so you can move the robot (similar to how newcastle can move his shield). 4 Reduce the length of healing items such as syringes and medic bags. 5 Instead of her ultimate giving better loot upon better storms, give better loot depending on the loot within the players inventory. 6 (optional) Give her the ability to shoot syringes at players/enemies to heal them for half the health it would. (similar to how fuse can shoot grenades). ACTIVISION TAKE MY IDEAS THERE FREE AND AWESOME.
For Point 5. The shield already are scaled on what you and your teammates have. So when 2 people got purple shield and one got grey the drop will contain a blue shield.
That heat shield stand off broke me.

7:33 She is tabbed out of the game because Alt is the Standard button for the Heatshield so Alt+Tab minimizes the game and pulls out the heatshield at the same time

I remember when those blue bins first became a thing. It could be pretty cool and helpful, but unless you were in need of loot and meds, it was mostly pointless. And then with Loba, the only other Support legend in the entire game, it felt weird that Lifeline was the only one that could open the extra supplies unless Loba used her black market. The blue bins are just all around weird.
Only reason I never find them weird... is because I'm a lifeline main. And everytime they come in with the clutch purp loot
Shouldnt supports have the extended supply bin as a their own little perk? (like with survey beacons for recon class legends)

@@sphere7468 if we wanna get all technical, Pathfinder was originally a support and the only one able to use the survey beacons, but people kept thinking and suggested it'd be a good idea for the recon legends be able to do that, so they changed Pathfinder into a recon and allowed all recon legends to scan survey beacons. Which left us in an awkward state with Lifeline as one of the only supports and not knowing much what to do with her, and Pathfinder not what you'd consider a standard recon. Although Valkyrie isn't your typical recon either...
I think I've left myself befuddled.
A character specific loot mechanic that only Lifeline can access is stupid. Like how do i put this Legends should differ from their combat abilities not what loot they can get.

I don’t ever keep track of these buffs and nerfs. Love the character highlight vids you dish out! I’m just an average lifeline enjoyer regardless of her changes :)

Also Respawn: Give Gibby fast rez in his complete protective dome that no one can break

Respawn: Nah, that's too strong. Only one teammate, but we will give you attachments in your care package
Also Respawn: Lets make a character that can rez with a shield and move into cover while you're reviving your teammates

Day 554 of waiting for a meaningful mirage buff: They really got me f*cked up when I saw that all they did was make decoys deployable when in valk ult. My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined.
Add the 1 default self res for 1 game ( like 1 gold shield as default) - it’s can be HUGE interesting cool fear buff for a Lifeline.

I think people really underestimate how good lifeline is, even before the buff in the right hands lifeline can be the most clutch character in the game. Being able to res both your teammates at the same time then dropping a healing drone has won me so many end games it’s not even funny. Within 10 seconds your whole team can go from being downed to full health and shields and if the other teams aren’t in a position to push you it’s insanely OP
It’s not anybody with a brain pushes right after a knock let alone 2 your at a disadvantage even if you do get both of them up & that damn drone does not help much when their is most likely 3 of y’all using it it give you like 25% health or something man I was a die hard lifeline main but now she’s just not worth it & she hasn’t been worth it if we’re being honest since they took the fast heals
@@larryjackson8525 That’s exactly why I said “if the other team IS NOT in a position to push you”. Sometimes because of positioning and where other teams are they just simply can’t push you in late game. So in those specific situations lifeline is definitely OP. And her drone doesn’t heal you to 25 health lol it fully heals a downed player while they quickly pop a bat.

Adding zap damage radius to the drone that follows you was the buff we needed bu we got another 10 seasons of useless lifeline.

Honestly if they gave her shield back for her healing but made it like newcastles where it has health that would make her a little better. Honestly her ult needs to be completely redone tbh or like have her ult have the chance to have a red gun. Either that or make it so her ult also acts as a respawn beacon to respawn teammates.
A sick Buff to Lifelines kit, and situational one at that. Is if Doc can heal DOUBLE the amount if you wear a Gold Armor.. it combines perfectly with her ult dropping gold armor and it will only help sometimes in late game scenario.. I do not consider it overpowered xD. Imagine standing in a Caustic ult and chilling, cause Doc is just better xD
Is it a hot take to say that lifelines loot ult should just be a support item that any character can find and equip? Then they could give her a new ult to replace it.

They should add a gas mask as gold loot that counteracts Caustics gas and you should only be able to get it from a Lifeline package.

Anyone remember back in the dummy’s big day limited time mode they had the mirage rework in the form of the dummy legends as well as an ultimate that was just a big AOE heal, I really thought they were gonna replace lifelines care package with that as it seemed balanced since it would heal enemies too. Why won’t they give her that I think it would make her kit better, more engaging, and less abusable than the res shield

tactical - turns to heal gun maybe 4 shots with 30 hp heal overtime
