Loving tackle with grackle. I'm always impressed when people can just go out and eat in a restaurant alone because that's my ultimate anxiety area; I won't even sit in a cafe having a coffee alone. Mad how some people can do things without even thinking about it but for others, it takes a lot of revving up and is a big step. Thanks for the inspiration.
Rebecca Louise crazy right?! For me it’s opposite. I get anxious anticipating spending time with people but have no issue travelling alone. Sitting alone in a cafe is actually when I’m happiest 😂

Kenny I’m none of these! I’m terrified of meeting up with people (after a while it’s fine but when I first go to meet them for like the first hour I’m terrified) and I hate going to places by myself as I hate talking to new people as I’m nervous 😂
Jade Chloe we’d probably mesh well then! both show up to a cafe together but sit in complete silence whilst we mind our own business 😂
Rebecca Louise really? i love to go to the movies alone. i just love the experience!!!! and eating alone and drinking coffee alone in a cafe r also my fav things to do. ahahshshh i do have friends , hwever i learnt not to keep myself away of fun things just cuz no one is around to do it with me. the few first times were a bit weird, but a tip books come in handy or having someone on the phone, and now it is the most normal thing for me to do...to hang out with the most important person in my life. myself. i hope, if u r striving for it, u get there :) it is worth it.
The mirror: there's a heating element behind it so when the hot steam meets the mirror, since the mirror isn't cold, the steam doesn't condense on the mirror

This has kind of inspired me to do this. About a year ago, my anxiety was so bad that I couldn't even step outside my front door unless someone was with me. I've been working on overcoming some of my fears e.g going to appointments myself, or going to the shops myself but I really want to be able to go somewhere and stay overnight by myself.
Do it! (And even if you have to stay up all night on CZcams and don't get any actual sleep, that'll still be a tremendous step ;)

Well done on the little steps here grace. Ive started tackling my fear of driving to new places without someone else in the car so I've started doing short journeys to places that are familiar but I wouldn't normally do alone and its working.
I love that even when you're doing something by yourself you say we're. It makes me feel included in your plans; but also reminds me, as a single person who does a lot alone,to enjoy my little trips out and to make them special. That hanging out with myself is valuable too. 😊

Loved this video, it’s really inspiring seeing your independence & how content you are in your own company, and giving it a real try outside of your comfort zones.

Thank you! You inspired me to tackle my fears!!! Yesterday I went into town and got the bus by myself. I went to the cinema by myself and I did some shopping by myself and I really feel proud and so happy that I did it so thank you!

Definitely come to Liverpool! The friendliest city with cool vintage places to visit! Plus you can make your dad jealous visiting Anfield (football stad) 🥰
You should go to Scotland next, it’s not too far but not too close so it would be perfect and it’s really beautiful. I also really enjoyed the vlog.
Not too far??? I’m from London which I think is where Grace is and to me Scotland is very very far away.
@Felicity It’s kinda funny to me when UK folks think anything is all that far... It takes the same amount of time for me to drive across *just* the state of Tennessee as it does to drive from London to Edinburgh! It’s so freaking close! I would LOVE to live that close to Scotland. 😍 Plus, y’all have a fantastic train system, which makes it even more accessible.

You should do a 'stay with a subscriber' video in a new city that you've never visited before. That way you'll be able to discover a new city and see all the best bits and it'll be a good way to push you out of your comfort zone too!

Totally get your homesickness thing... I thought I was the only one who got it that bad, waking up every hour is something that happens to me too sometimes in a new place. It completely goes away during the day though, it's night time induced anxiety lol. New subscriber here! CZcams keeps recommending your older videos so here I am! X

Oh I think I know why the mirror doesn't steam up in the middle:)) I believe we had this in 5th grade or something in physics. Basically they put hot wires behind it so the mirror is slightly warm from behind and the result is that it doesn't steam up that easily

I traveled solo for three days in Copenhagen/Malmo recently and it was a great time. Copenhagen is great for solo travelers. Kind of expensive, but you can only spend so much in three days :)

Hi Gracie. You''ll get more confident and less stressed about being away from home as you get older. Don't worry. Where you have to go for something in particular, you'll not have anxiety about not being at home. The Lizard is a good place to go, as we know. I stay at Trelowarren Hall just south of Helston. Really interesting Elizabethan Hall. Also a Christian Healing Centre. Has its own website. You'll feel safe and supported there. Best wishes.

I have to say, I’m a rather experienced traveller - both alone and with the hubs - and I do not get homesick at all. However...if I’m staying in a hotel by myself I never sleep that well! It’s like I get this irrational fear that some creeper will follow me to my room or something?!? OR, even if I’m feeling safe and sound, my brain keeps telling me I’ll sleep so well that I’ll sleep through my alarm(def not a morning person in any way) and the front desk will be calling me asking why I’m not checking out on time. 😱 So I understand that weird anxiety of being alone in certain circumstances!

I get home sick so easily, I went to a university where I live purely so I could stay home. I absolutely dreaded moving out and once I did move out with my partner I cried mostly every day for weeks, driving home every day after work. It gets easier though! I talk to my mum every day without fail but feeling home sick is reallll, i can be in the same room as my family and still feel sick from missing them lol it’s so weird.

It might help if you write down your thoughts when it feels tough and you feel extra homesick? After you done that you could maybe compare notes with previous times and think about how it felt and how you feel in the current moment when you’re in a place where you don’t feel homesick. I don’t know but that used to help me and some of my friends with different things we individually found tough. And try to remember how awesome it is that you tried it and that you allowed yourself to feel your emotions. #TackleWithGrackle 💕
Ps. For years I would never leave comments on CZcams due to being insecure about my English, but thanks to people encouraging me and helping me with things here and there (grammar and spelling), I’m finally in a place where I’m accepting of my English and where it’s at. I have to keep working but that moment when you get over an obstacle is lovely and gives you the freedom that will allow you to enjoy things more.
