Villa fan here. I’ve seen the movie before - season after season flirting with relegation.. And I’ll say this, having gone through this at Villa, sometimes things have to break to rebuild.

You can't build bricks without straw. Been a fan since '62, not sold on Dyche but given the precarious financial position of the club he's on a hiding to nothing at the moment. Players have options and currently we are on few, if any, players "want to play for them" list. We had 14 first team players fit on Saturday, so it's not looking good.
Efan Ekoku said in the commentary on Saturday we should sign Toney. If we could afford and attract players like that why stop there? Mbappè changed clubs this summer, we should have offered Neal Maupay and asked for £5m in exchange.
And offer him what Saudi are offering?

@@gboi264 Looking at the long haul also matters. We went against really good teams these first two games. We will pick up points later on. Panicking after the first few is amateur stuff.
I think for most is just the boring predictable style (if you can call it that) of play we are so easy to play against

Dyche is guilty of his inabilility of knowlage in tactical play formations to cope in modern day football yes you can blame the players but it looks like they have no sense of direction confused in what there doing they train all wk in the tactics and it probebly makes sense to them but on the pitch opposing teams break it down with a blink of the eye in the first 5 min and thats were all hell is let loose because they have got no answers and that is totally down to bad management
Everton’s tactics, playing style and players are too English.
They play park the bus, kick and rush football. Their players are physical, athletic, not much skills or technicality.
Goal scorers always attract a premium in the market. Goal stopper attract a discount. It is cheaper for a club like Everton with difficult finances to focus on preventing goals than scoring them to maximise the goal difference.
I can Guarantee that Everton will not get relegated.

@@jim8837 Why would I be. As Tottenham fan I like Everton. I just feel that the club has been ruined for over two decades. I enjoy when Tottenham and Everton play each other over the years. Too see it where it is today is sad

We need a top manager, someone who can come in like Carlo did and build a squad and philosophy that will take us forward, we haven't had an identity since Carlo and before him it was Martinez, we've struggled for years now fighting relegation and now it looks like it's going to be another season of it, I haven't felt a connection to the club in so long, I've been a fan since I was 7 so that's 23 years I've been an Evertonian and this is the most disconnected I've ever felt, something huge needs to change ASAP, not only do we look lost and can't win a football match but we also can't even attract an owner to come and settle the ship behind the scenes either, it's a complete mess and a constant hangover that's been looming over our heads season upon season and I fear this season will be our final season in the PL

Good point. I would throw Sunderland into the mix as well, because before they dropped down the divisions, they had multiple seasons surviving relegation by the skin of their teeth. Similarly Everton have stunk out the division for some time now, and theres been no progress at all, so it's just a matter of time before the go down.

Everton got a six point deduction last season and eventually stayed up with points to spare. This season they are not firing on all cyclinders but surely when they get their best players out there are the new ones are integrated things will turn out fine. The problem I'm not a reactionary so I don't go overboard when the good time arrive either. But lets give creadence to these sour blue noses, who will attack the next manager, if things aren't going the way they want. Probably the same vocal few that got rid of Allerdyce, Kooman, etc. and the board of directors. Patience is a virtue and some of my family who are Everton fans have that in abundance but clearly not the whining keyboarders who probably get upset when their ready-made meals take more than three minutes to prepare and taste like. *****.

I agree. As a newcastle fan the most enjoyable seasons over the last 15 years prior to the takeover were the 2 individual seasons spent in the championship. Both seasons ended as champions and we won most of our games, a far cry from losing week in week out. That's why many Norwich fans, West Brom fans, etc... prefer to be in the championship because being rock bottom of the premier league and paying your hard earned money to watch your team lose and fall apart each week is depressing.
@joneve8347 now try doing that when you're at the bottom of the championship we had nearly 25 years of pain of championship relegation battles and couple in league 1 but 3rd season in prem still hard work and not easy watching

@@agentancelotti2985 how is that relevant to my comment? Everton WERE successful but haven't been a major team in 40 years. Fans can either pay hundreds to watch their team get humiliated week in, week out, or have a season in the championship and enjoy themselves. Ask a Southampton fan which was their most enjoyable season of the last 5 and it would likely be last season because it's better to win most weeks than lose every week.
I know it's early but it really looks like Everton are heading down this time. I mean yeah where are the goals going to come from? Calvert-Lewin? The guy can't stay fit. Maupay? I mean come on really? He may net them a few goals but he isn't gonna keep them up.
It's worse than that tbh he's been fit for while he just doesn't look like the same player and gets next to zilch service and when he does it's under/over hit or played to his weaker foot when he has 3 men on him

I think that Everton should have done a deal with Newcastle for DCL at 30 -35 mil instead of holding out for 40 mil. It is obvious we need a striker. DCL wants Newcastle and is no longer interested. I don't blame him. The way the team is setup to play, who wants to keep chasing long balls all day? Carlo got it right with DCL but telling him to stay in the box not run all over the place. Onana said it was the type of football that made him want out. McNeil is going backwards most of the time. How do we expect to win?

Dyche was bought in to prevent counter attacks and to make defenses solid.I don't see Everton be at bottom 3 in May or in relegation battle. It's honestly shocking how badly they played in the first 2 matches. Everton need to create more scoring chance,that what they did decently last season.Also Everton needs more possession imo 19th only ahead of Ipswich Town(in their case I wouldn't blame them counter attacking against Man City and Liverpool).

It seems that we are playing slow, analog football in a digital world. Speed of thought and movement is not our thing. We could stay up, but the problem remains...until the manager is changed.

Dyches teams have never scored many goals so this isn't something new.
He always moans about not getting penalties,when his teams don't have many touches in the opposition box.instead of implementing methods of play to attack teams he relies on crosses and individuals to hopefully get on the end of them.
Obviously Everton are limited in the transfer market by money but dyche doesn't play attacking football.
We see this every year.. everton have deserved to be relegated atleast 5 times in the past 10 years yet always seem to survive
