- A daily Tokyo life vlog with a mission - showcasing my favourite cafes in Tokyo. More specifically West Tokyo. I visit five cafes that I quite like, although I have to say that these are SOME of my favourite cafes, not all of them/the top five. Hope you enjoy tagging along while I go cafe hopping in Tokyo.

If you were wondering - the "getting my life back on track" title in the beginning was not supposed to be there lol! Oh well 🤷♀
Which cafe was your favourite? And please share your favourite cafes 🙏
Love that your video popped up on my recommended.I been looking for other content creators to watch that are in their 30s 😭
Hey girl thanks for watching and commenting 🫶 hope you’re having a great day 🙏
Such a calming and wonderful video 💜 thank you so much

Thank you hun 🫶
Looove to see my beautiful Colombian coffee on your cozy and amazing vlogs! BTW never get tired of your content! greetings!
Hey you 🫶 thanks for the lovely coffee :)
So happy to hear you’re enjoying the content! Hope you’re having a great day!
Some nice recommendations! I’ve done a few of them but always fun to be inspired to explore new ones.
I think that when you’re walking around in Tokyo you’ll always find some amazing (sometimes weird as well) cafe. Especially in the somewhat off-neighborhoods.
Yess! There’s so many nice as well as quirky cafes. Any cafes you’d recommend?
Wow, so happy to have come across this video! I born in the US, but grew up in Shoto and later lived in Tomigaya for work. Such a unique calm in these areas of Tokyo. Definitely want to try nadoya, paddlers, and no. during my next visit. Still miss those pedestrian walkways ~ I've had lots of delicious drinks and meals along that route into Shibuya✌🏼
Yes it’s such a nice area!! And thanks for sharing something about yourself as well! Happy to hear the vid was helpful :)
I'm going to Tokyo in July, can't wait to check out all of these coffee shops!
Hopefully it’ll be an amazing trip!! 🤞 happy to hear you found this vid helpful :)
Loving these vlogs 🙂Planning to visit Japan in 2025! Every new video makes we want to go more, lol.
Thanks!! Glad to hear you’re getting inspiration from my vlogs! Hopefully helping in planning an amazing trip 🙏
Cutieee cafes are everywhere! 😮
Yess!
Thanks for introducing your favorite cafes. Now we need more videos like this 😅.
Tokyo has plenty of great cafes 😇
I'm excited about the prospect of meeting someone in Japan! I've made the decision to stay here for a while.
Cool, hope things work out! 🤞
if you like paddlers i think u should try their other cafe in nakano called LOU! dont think they have a time limit…they serve some tapas at night too! I have yet to visit paddlers!!
i think a cool study cafe would be common in roppongi! but the menu is a liftle more expensive than usual i would say lol
Amazing tips! Checked Lou on Google and it seems amazing! I’ve actually never been to Nakano but I really need to go lol. And literally a week ago visited common for the first time so will be in a vlog shortly! Thanks :)
For numerous Japanese individuals, living in Tokyo is considered the ultimate aspiration.
I guess! But life outside of Tokyo seems lovely as well, for different reasons than Tokyo :)

Thanks for the love 🫶
I would make the last one my "go to" . I did spend the next 45 minutes dinking coffee and looking for your Kotatsu/coffee table on-line. Is that a solid piece if wood? so cool
Yeah it has a very personal feel to it! The coffee table is one solid piece of wood. I bought it from a Japanese site called Creema, kind of like Japanese etsy, but it's one of a kind so you can't buy it unfortunately!
@@oliviaimamura Thanks! I thought is was probably an artisan table. I did find similar ones, but they had logs for legs (literally). As for Japanese cafe culture, they are so diverse. If I was with friends I would go here, if I wanted to get some work done I would go to this one, and if it was raining I'd go over there. I did like the cafe you got scolded for having a tri-pod lol!!
@@ratzo77 Yeah it took me some time to find a table that I liked! Best of luck with your hunt 🤞 Totally agree - the cafe definitely depends on what you want to do/who you're with! Love paddlers :)
Сute video, thank you
Thank you for leaving a cute comment 🫶
Heaven of cafe is Seoul
Totally agree! Been to Seoul 3x and the cafes are insane. Wish to go back soon.

Tokyo cafes are very nice
So many nice cafes!
@@oliviaimamura I'm always looking for more cool cafes and bars to visit in Tokyo. Love the vids!
@@rg33z Thank you 🫶 great to hear :)
amazing vlog! but why would that someone tell you off for using a tripod? geez :/
Thank you! It’s Japan - people are just a lot more private and protective of their environment. So it’s very normal here!
I'm sorry to bother you with this, but would you mind telling me what the delivery guy said to you before he left, around 4:52? He spoke so quickly that I couldn't make out anything! 😢 I would love to check out nadoya no katte or no., but unfortunately this July I'll be in Kyoto instead of Tokyo. Fun vid!
Hahah I didn't realise that people would want to know what's being said! He's just saying "Thank you. So this purchase was made through Mercari, was it not?" Me: "Yes that's correct". I have a Kansai solo trip vid where I go to many cafes and restaurants in Kyoto if you're interested :) czcams.com/video/eNHeM_RZGnU/video.htmlsi=8tdCGcFmiEJaWnFq
@@oliviaimamura ah, okay thank you! I listened to it again but still couldn't pick out the Japanese. However, this time I think I did barely hear メルカリ, lol
@@mrmatz408 Haha yeah he's speaking very quickly! In Japanese it's: はい、ありがとうございます。そしたら、今回、あれですかね、メルカリの方で購入していただいてるんですか。
@@oliviaimamura thanks! For me, the only thing worse than けいご is はやいけいご... :)
@@mrmatz408 makes sense lol!
Very nice apartment. Do you mind telling how much you’re paying?
Thanks! 160k yen so with the current (very weak rate for yen) around 1k usd!
Great vidoe. How are people about your tattoo? I am visiting this summer and have a tattoo on my leg, and plan on wearing shorts. Will that be frowned upon?
Especially if you look like a foreigner/tourist people won’t mind at all. When I have my tats out people just assume
I’m a foreigner but people don’t really mind. Of course access to onsens and bath houses is limited but other than that I never think about my tattoos being frowned upon. Maybe outside of Tokyo you might get some looks from some older people but as a tourist I don’t think you need to really think about it at all tbh, be yourself:)
Nice video 😊 Are you need web dev to work with you remotely ?
Thanks! Unfortunately no. Hope you find what you're looking for!
British accent no thanks.
Fair enough, not expecting everyone to like the way I sound :) fun fact - I’m not even British though, half Japanese and Finnish and grew up in Finland!
