Very excellent speech! Food for thought discussion. Unfortunately, India, the leader of spiritual thought, philosophy and ideas, and extremely advanced nation when Europeans were eating roots and meat to survive, has broken down to pieces. This speech also reminds me of Sri Aurobindo's statements from the book "India's Rebirth". "We are at the beginning of a time of terrible trial. The passage is not to be easy, the crown is not to be cheaply earned. India is going down into the valley of the shadow of death, into a reat horror of darkness and suffering. Let us realize that what we are now suffering, is a small part of what we shall have to suffer" - Sri Aurobindo

We will definitely uphold this truth to our fellow Bharatiyas and will impart this wisdom to our next generations. No more inferiority complex, no more colonial hangover. One day the whole world will acknowledge that Bharata is civilization and the US and Europe are corporations, as we Bharatiyas are the most humane (daya, kripa, karuna, prem) and intellectual race in the world.

In Satya Yug , Total life = 100% inner life + 0% outer life
      But in Kali Yug ?
it is obvious that Total life = 10-20% inner life + 90-80% outer life !
In an all out worldwar 3 (if it occurs in near future) , it will be 100% outer life!

Rajivji has raised one very solid point. I see in comments that this is inspiring fellow Indians to "do something" to further avoid digestion of our concepts. But we are ignorant and not equipped and unless we have superior knowledge of our systems and superior knowledge of "other systems", we may tread the dangerous path of saying the wrong things and get picked up upon. It took Rajivji, intense reading, research, meeting the relevant people to have this confidence. But let us not getting overwhelmed, but if Rajivji has a path and needs "help and support" in any form, he will define the form, we must check which parameters we comply to on this form and join in any small way and grow in the process.

      @ Ganga Ganga.
Hello Sir ! I would like to say something to you. I do not think that you should make your son attend a gurukul only ! Unfortunately, the gurukuls in India today, probably do not have the GREAT STANDARDS that they used to have, way back in the past, becoz they were dismantled by invaders. The modern education system has taken over India so much, that to keep with the world, students need to be taught a LOT OF SUBJECTS, that too in English. What you might want to do is to get private teachers to educate your child in the traditional Indian sense, so that he is educated in both the Indian traditional way and the modern western way. Also, you MUST show him/her the works of Rajiv Malhotra and other Indian experts, so that he/she is aware of the DANGERS to India. Anyway. I wish you all the very best, sir ! Namaste !

Listening to this, I feel like the only hope of saving our ways is by transferring this to our kids. It just the daily rituals, praying to krishna/shiva etc. tell your kids about Mohammed of Ghazni. Tell about Timur and the fate that befell Delhi. Raise them like that. Maybe one of them may turn out to be Shivaji Maharaj.

Who will carry on the baton with the same spirit in the future....your hard work and research will all eventually get buried with time...

You may not agree with him before reading his books & citations. RM ji is a Physicist , so he doesn't give a view without proper research. And that's why Leftists take great care to exclude him from any discussion in media or Literary circle. Best example is "The Hindu" which wrote several scathing articles against him. But when RM ji asked for space in the newspaper to rebutt , they denied him. Imagine the hypocrisy of champions of free speech when it was their turn to upheld it.

He is an asset. But he should create not only the next generation of enlightened warriors of Dharma, but also an army of foot-soldiers who may be slightly less intellectually endowed but, highly motivated and committed. A large network of different layers of passionately committed capable leaders, managers, funding mechanism and hierarchy of philosophers, ideologues, strategists, commanders, managers, soldiers, foot-soldiers. In other words, an organised, intellectual church will be needed to translate the dream of righteous dharma into a vibrant living truth.

As Shri Subramanniam Swamy said, 'Hindu' word is quite recent, from the British days when they pronounced Sindu people as Hindu people, Shri Rajiv is still talking of the word "Hindu' society etc. Well the present so called Hindu society is a fair mix of ancient Bharat +western (say Christian)+western or north western Arab,Muslim,Iranian, etc etc. This fair mix has a problem of identity and is struggling as a composite one. This way the 'Hindu' is an excellent composite structure of great strength and property just as the composite material of our helmets.
But the real society that Shri Rajiv is talking about is the Sanatana Dharma of Bharat that was more than 2000 years back when the culture was not yet mixed or (not having taken birth) with western ones. Hence I wish people get out of the habit of calling the Hindu word that has had lot of criticisms for obvious reasons.
